Observation Task 2

On The Move

Objective: For student teachers to look at three aspects of the teachers use
of her body:

(1) teaching space. (2) eye contact and (3) body language.

Focus questions about data collected

1. In the square shade in the teacher space that the SST used. Suggest
reasons why you think the teacher used the classroom space in this way?

Teacher should move around the class to be sure that all student
attention with her also to control them.

2. Describe the eye contact of the teacher you observed.

In my observation I see that teacher use eye contact to look to all


student specially on the back because they are speaking a lot. Also she
use her eye brow to show that she is angry from some student or when
some student answer a difficult question she use her eye brow to show
that she is surprise.

3. Which areas of the room and which learners did the SST focus on? What
are possible reasons for this?
In the middle and back of the class where all student will focus with
teacher and they can't play or take because teacher will see her.

4. Which areas and students did she not make eye contact with? Give
possible reasons for this.

When teacher stand near the commuter to use it some student on the
back start talking and they don't be attention with her.

5. Which type of body language did the teacher mostly use?

The most body langue teacher use is eye contact.

6. How helpful or confusing was her body language in conveying her


meaning?

Teacher body language is very helpful, student understand what their


teacher wont.

7. What might be the results of her moving into different spaces in the
classroom?

It help teacher to look all student and what they are doing or if they
focus with her or not.

Give 3 reasons for using clear body language during the lesson.

- student will be attention with her teacher and focus with her.
-student will not make a noisy or play with something.
-teacher will control student to achieve her goal from the lesson.
