Procedure:
1. Insert the clutch alignment tool in to the assembly and remove the
bolts holding it in. Remove the clutch assembly and place it on the
bench
2. Loosen the bolts partially, one at a time. Then continue to remove
them all once the assembly is partially pushed out. The spring action of
the pressure plate may cause the clutch cover to become bent.
3. Once the clutch is removed from the vehicle perform a visual
inspection on the following components and describe their appearance
and if they need replacement

4. Check the pressure plate for warpage using a feeler gauge and straight
edge. Compare against manufacture specification.
5. Describe what can cause the flywheel or pressure plate surface wrap or
crack
6. Check the crankshaft rear main seal and oil pan gasket for leakage.
Describe how an oil leak in these areas can cause reduced clutch
performance

7. Remove the pilot bearing/bushing according to the service manuals
procedures
8. Align and position the clutch and pressure plate assembly onto the
input shaft and torque the bolts to specification in a star pattern
