Chicago Manual of Style

Author-Date/In-text Referencing
Definitive Resources available at the Research & Writing on Haggard 2: Chicago Manual of Style.

also available online through the Western Libraries.

The following are examples of the more common citations. When in doubt your final word is the Chicago
Manual of Style, the official website, and your professor.

General Rule: When no author is available, begin the citation with the title of the article (book, etc.).
Section and page numbers for the Chicago Manual of Style are given for each example when
available.

Periodicals (Journals, Magazines, and Newspapers)
