overdue accounts are sent and water cut offs
are enforced.
Important Reminders to all homeowners:
1. We would like to advise everyone to please
take extra precautionary measure in securing
your property. If you see any unusual activity
done by any person, please call the guard in
order to verify the strange action or activity.
2. We would also like to encourage everyone
to please have a time to review the handbook
on the subdivisions bylaws & rules and
regulations. This is to self-reflect if you
yourselves abide our policy.
3. If a homeowner or lessee will pay their
account through check and the check will
bounce, the office will not anymore accept
check payment the next time that
homeowner/lessee will pay for her/his
account.
Recent Events in VDR II:
1. Youth summer league 2016. Last summer,
the youth headed by the youth president
Theodore John Garcia, officers, and with the
support of the vice president of VDR II HOA,
Mrs. Gina Boter, organized different games to
promote sports and camaraderie between and
among the youth of VDR II subdivision.
Projects/Activities:
1. The perimeter fence of the common lot
behind the office is already done. Still need to
be painted.
2. Trees at phase 2 park area were pruned to
avoid the electrical problems.
3. Overhead water tank rehabilitation (inside
rehab) is on-going. The contract is only for the
rehabilitation of the inside tank. The work is
expected to be done after four weeks but will
also depend on the weather condition.
Project/Activities under proposal:
1. Repairing/painting of the speedbumps.
Some people are complaining about the
speedbumps becoming partly damaged and
the paints are not visible anymore.
Present and Continuing Concerns in VDR-
II:
1. Double parking. Please follow our Traffic
Rules and Regulations. As stated in our
Handbook, Parking of vehicles shall be
parallel to the curb on all the streets. In the
case of one-way streets, parking shall be on
one side only. Vehicles parked on the street
are at the owners own risk. Double parking is
also not allowed specially on the narrow
streets. This rule should be followed in order
to avert possible traffic accidents and ensure
a smooth flow of vehicles both in normal
situations and in cases of emergency.
In a one way street double parking shall
not be allowed. The association is not in any
way responsible for damages incurred by
double parked vehicles. However, the owner
will be responsible for damages done to
vehicles or people caused by the double
parked vehicles. Constant violation can be
a ground to become homeowners/lessees
losing their status as a member in good
standing and/or penalty will be imposed
accordingly.
2. Curfew. Pursuant to the provisions of VDR
II subdivisions Rules and Regulations;
Paragraph N: A 10:00 PM Curfew will be
observed by all Residents; and Paragraph O:
Noise at individual residences must be toned
down by 10:00 PM. Many Residents must rise
early on all days to go work or school. Such
curfew hour is also implemented by Cebu city
government which supports Presidents
Dutertes goal in promoting peace and order
in our society.
3. There are still homeowners who
havent secured the new vehicle sticker
for 2016. As our By Law states,
Residents with vehicles are required to
secure stickers from the VDRII office.
Neglecting this policy will prompt the
BOD to take measure in order to
materialize this policy (e.g. imposing
penalties to HO having vehicles with no
stickers).
4. We would like to remind that modified loud
exhaust of motorcycle, is not allowed inside
subdivision. Always use a plug if you have a
loud modified muffler while driving inside the
subdivision. Republic Act 8749 and Cebu City
Ordinance 2411 states (Bora-bora) mufflers
not legal.
5. Loose pets - dogs. Our By Laws says that
dogs must be inside a homeowners property.
Dogs tied on the gates outside the
property line is not allowed. Should he
stroll his dog outside of his house, the pet
must be on leash and the owner must be
responsible for picking up the dogs pooh.
Complaints reached our office on dogs
barkings during night time which becomes a
nuisance in our neighborhood. Please let us all
be sensitive to the right of peace of our
neighbors. Fine for loose dogs is enforced.

6. Stray cats - Jointly with the Dept. of
Veterinary Medicine and Treatment, (Cebu City
Pound) we are now picking up stray cats in our
streets. Cats that are trap/caught will be
turned over to the city pound.
6. Student drivers, practicing inside the
subdivision is absolutely not allowed, with or
without a professional driver accompanying.
7. As noticed, tarpaulin signage can now be seen in
strategic areas of the subdivision to make it clean and
drug free. We would like to reinforce here for all
homeowners to be watchful, and may discreetly report to
the proper government authorities any known violators of
peace and harmony in our area, so to spare our family
from being duped or victimized by illegal drugs.
In house workers services:
From the previous newsletter, we mentioned
that we have in house office workers services
that the homeowners can call for minor job in
their household such as: minor plumbing
repairs, electrical and pruning of ornamental
trees for a minimum fee of P100.00 for the
first 2 hours and P50.00 for each succeeding
hour and fraction thereof.
For clarification, the above mentioned
rate does not include the rental fees for
the tools/equipment used in providing
the service. List of rental fees are
provided in the office.
Please call the office for work scheduling. We
advise the homeowner (HO) not to give
payment to the worker. Service charges
shall be included in your monthly bill.
The Office will give the worker a work bill slip
and the corresponding amount to be paid. HO
shall sign on the bill to confirm the work done.
The signed bill slip shall be forwarded to the
Office for billing.
