Purpose: The purpose of the lesson is to involve students in meaningful discussions on the
topic of the lesson as well as to encourage them to state their opinions and use their
imagination creatively.
The lesson is also intended to help Ss develop their abilities for using English in real-life
situations outside the classroom.
Objectives: By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
use vocabulary learned in the last chapter;
talk about hobbies;
correctly use the Present Tense Simple to talk about general likes and dislikes.
Class management:
If Ss do not understand the oral commands or the tasks, these will be translated into
Romanian;
Difficulty in pronunciation.
STAGES

- Procedure: The T enters the classroom, greets the Ss checks attendance - Who is
missing today? and creates the proper atmosphere for the lesson by establishing
rapport with the Ss.

- Procedure: The teacher inquires about the previous lesson.
- T asks Ss to read their homework and helps them correct their mistakes.
LEAD-IN
- Timing: 2 minutes
- Type of interaction: T-Ss, S-S, Ss-T
- Procedure: T announces the new lesson, writes on the Bb the title Revision and tells
Ss they will revise items learnt in the last chapter (hobbies and activities, Present
Simple).
ACTIVITY 1 (PRE-LISTENING)
- Timing: 5 minutes
- Type of interaction: T-Ss, S-T
- Procedure: T draws the Ss attention to a song related to activities that children do
in their free time. They have to listen to the song, pay attention and write in their
notebooks the hobbies they hear in the song.
ACTIVITY 2 (LISTENING)
- Timing: 5 minutes
- Type of interaction: T-Ss, S-S Ss-T
- Procedure: The Ss listen and solve the exercise. If there is necessary, the song will
be played again.
- The T checks the Ss answers.
ACTIVITY 3 (POST-LISTENING)
- Timing: 5 minutes
- Type of interaction: T-Ss, Ss-T
- Procedure: T asks the Ss some questions:
VOCABULARY PRACTICE
- Timing: 8 minutes
- Type of interaction: T-Ss, S-S, Ss-T
- Procedure: The T asks the Ss to remember the adverbs of frequency and asks some
Ss to give some examples.
- They then have to form sentences using always, never, often, sometimes and
usually. The Ss read the sentences.
