SC issues protection order for

families of those killed in

Payatas drug operation

THE Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday granted a protection order to families

of drug suspects killed in an anti-illegal drug operation carried out by the
police in August last year in a barangay in Payatas, Quezon City.

Alleged attempts to destabilize the government or ouster the President has

been in the rumor mill from the moment he assumed office. But thats all that
they areunsubstantiated rumors. Lets not give too much credence to scare
tactics. At the same time, those who speak on behalf of the President should
be circumspect in publicly announcing supposed ouster plots as doing so in
such an early stage of an administration is detrimental to the country.
