could hurt somebody. Begin this activity after instruction.

Development
After using the color/shape cube and noticing who needs more work and who doesnt then switch the
activity to introducing the alligator tub This particular alligator is nice and wont hurt you because we
are playing pretend. Students must close their eyes when picking a colored shape from the alligators
mouth. After sharing with the group, feed the alligator nicely by placing colored shape back in tub. After
taking notes begin using whiteboards. Demonstrate a shape on teacher whiteboard, and then have students
draw the same shape. Do this with all the basic shapes.

Once the students have faded or start doing other things on whiteboards, close the small group with their
name folders. Each student has a name folder where they are supposed to match the individual letter cards
Closure to the letters in their name. Then students can practice writing their names on the blank piece of paper
inside of their name folders.
