The 64th Annual District Convention, held at
the Valley Forge Convention Center in King of Prussia,
PA from April 16 to April 18, attracted close to 700 Key
Clubbers from across the New Jersey District. The
convention featured a keynote speech from Kiwanis
International President Paul Palazzolo, words from the
New Jersey Circle K Governor Robert Acerra and New
Jersey Kiwanis Governor Mark Esposito.
Campaigning officially began on Friday
night and the candidates vying for the executive
offices spent their time at caucuses, swaying the
crowd with moving speeches. Saturday Morning
marked the beginning of the conventions’s
appreciation session, and were followed by
workshops. These ranged from “How to run for a
Position” to a “Belly dancing” workshop; the latter of
which was held by the Immediate Past LTG of Division
15, Sally Awad. Saturday Afternoon included meeting
the candidates for executive office and international
endorsement, followed by the House of Delegates.
After the House had convened, the new executive
officers had been elected. Saturday evening included
the Recognition Session of the Convention, followed

included a CSH Walk and the always-tearful Farewell
Session.
As a climax to an emotional weekend, the
New Jersey District Board of the 2009-2010 Service Year
was retired, and the 2010-2011 District Board was
instated. by the end of the day, 21 new Lieutenant
Governors and 4 executive officers had been installed.
Congratulations and good luck to all those who
served on the board, you truly did do an amazing job,
and will succeed with whatever you choose to pursue
in the future.

2010-2011 District Project
On April 16th, 2010, at the Key Club of New
Jersey’s District Convention, Shelby Frank, the
Immediate Past Lieutenant Governor of Division 12,
unveiled that, for the fifth consecutive year, the New
Jersey District of Key Club would continue to have the
Children’s Specialized Hospital of New Jersey as our
District Project. For more information on these
