SUMMARY
How does the child begin to perceive the world from the discovery of his
own self? What relationships exist between the organism, the
environment, and the construction of geometric knowledge? Having such
questions in mind, this text presents the initial rationale, structure, and
some of our experiences in Early Childhood Education. This study is part of
a larger research carried out by the Group of Studies and Research in
School Mathematics Education - GEPEME, with the aim of producing
material for the teaching of Geometry Space Capabilities for Early
Childhood Education and Elementary Education I in light of the studies of
Van Hiele and Some principles of Didactic Engineering and as a target
audience: educators, teachers and students.
