My Plan

PLAN FOR FINAL MAJOR PROJECT

Timescale-
I will be filming my production on the half term week starting on the 26th of May. On days of the
29th, 30th and 31st. (confirmation is below). The deadline for the footage is the 5th June and editing
my whole production is in for the 16th June. I will meet the demands of each deadline and get my
work in on time to make sure I am on top of things. The next few weeks leading up to it is me
planning and preparing for the production days.

Legislation-
Music, photo illustrations and published texts cannot be broadcast or reproduced without
the permission of the original owners consent. This can result in a fine of up to 25 grand
and one year in prison for the offense. I emailed the record asking for their permission to

The Race discrimination act of 2010 is the law to not discriminate for any occupation or
event because of race. This could include any race, nationality, ethnic or national origin. I
dont feel as though my music video would go against this act as I am using different

ethnicities within my music video and that will be shown to the audience that I am not
discriminating against any race.

Gender Discrimination is the right that men and women both have the right equally and
there is not definition for what either gender can do, whether that is in employment or in
their spare time. The equality act is taken very seriously and the company is committed to
leading the womens rights in the community to the next level. I dont feel as though I am
going against this as I am using a male and a female as my main characters and they will
both be in the production for the same amount of time and show both sides of them. The
lryics within the song arent discriminating against a certain gender or talking about one of
them in a way which is offensive so I feel as though there wont be many complaints on it.

Privacy Issues is getting the legal right to film someone and put them in the video. The law
refers to the use of personal information and can be collected by the public or government
organizations. I could face some issues with this as my video will be based in London which
is a big city and if someone from the public is walking past and they dont want to be shown
on camera it could make some issues. How to overcome this is when I film an area with
people in it just to ask them if it is ok to show them on film, and if not then it gives them the
able to make the choice to move or let us know and we would be able to move to a
different spot.

OFCOM

OFCOM is the regulators for radio, TV, and video on demand sectors. This is the protection
against scams and fraud on the community and to make sure that the interests of the public
and consumers is the most important thing in order to max the industry. OFCOM make sure
that the target audience are protected from harmful and offensive content, in the most
effective way possible. Here are their regulations against copyright and show what Ofcom
do to go against it.

To overcome the legal issues I have asked the right people if I am able to use the production
and make my own, and when in the location ask the public who walk past if theyre ok with it
aswell. There will be people will issues with my production but will have to overcome that
when it comes as it is hard to go round it.

Roles-
I will only be using two characters during my production, this is because I feel that way the audience
would be able to connect with the characters and feel as though they can fully engage with the
people on screen.

This is confirming that we will go up to London during the week of half term started on the 20th of
May. This week will be spend producing footage and gathering all I need to be able to edit my music
video. As shown above both my characters are available.

I also had to require a camera for that week to be able to get the footage I need. Here is the email of
confirmation. Here is the proof of me asking for it.

And Adams confirmation that it is ok for me to hire the camera of that week.

Health and Safety-
Where I will be doing my production-

SOHO London.

Oxford Circus London.

This is where my production will mostly be based in London. These are all bright and vibrant places,
which will hold a lot of potential for good work and hold a lot of life within the footage. I feel as
though the health and safety issues with this is that there will be a lot of people walking round
quickly and a lot happening in a small area which means we would have to careful about where we
go and try not to get in anyones way that could possibly create an accident. There are always a lot of

cyclist around in London so we would have to watch out careful for them so that we dont get hit,
and cause an accident with them. There is also the weather to take into account because if it is really
hot weather then taking health into consideration that they could over heat so there needs to be
access to a lot of water and shady areas to wait when not take footage. The other thing to consider
is the pathways in London arent constantly straight, which is a possible trip hazard. This means to
avoid it we can move the scene to a different location or make sure the actors know where they are
stepping in case of a trip.

Design Format-
The way I will be publishing my work is on Youtube, and then put onto my weebly site. This means
that the target audience will be able to watch my video, as well as being on my website so that
people know that it is my first hand work. I will be showing it on youtube as that is a popular
website for my target audience to watch productions, millions of people view the website on a daily
basis which means my video will get some views and hopefully will become popular based on the
artist and how popular they are as a singer without the music video. My production would shown on
music channels which means that a larger group of audience will be able to see it and make an
opinion on the video. The main viewing station I will be putting my video on would be MTV. In a
week they reach a 121000 views per day, this means that my video will be seen across and become
very popular based on this, it will also make a larger audience as people who may not like the genre
will still listen and watch based on the fact its on the TV station.

Possible Issues-
The potential issues that could come when doing my production would mean that I would have to
change my idea slightly and do things differently than I planned before. This could be that on the day
it rains or is not the type of weather conditions that I wanted to begin with. As I will be travelling to
London to do the production I will have to go around it and film in sheltered locations instead, or can
plan another day where the weather should be better. It is important to get the footage on a clear
night to get the full effect and all the details of the location. That means that I will have to have back
up dates of going so instead of 29th of May I could do it on the 30th or 31st. This means that I have
multiple opportunities to get the right footage, and if anything goes wrong then I can go back and try
again. If my actors do not turn up or able to make it, I have back up of understudies who will be able
to sit in and perform for me.
