At the end of the lesson, at least 75% of the students should be able to:
1. Observe and infer that objects contains charges;
2. Perform the Charge it to Experience activity;and
3. Cooperate actively in the group activity.
II. SUBJECT MATTER
Topic: The Particle Nature of Matter
Subtopic: Atoms: Inside Out
Reference: Grade 8 Science Book Learners Module
Skills to be developed:
Values to be developed: appreciation, cooperation
Materials: meterstick, balloons, string, chairs, glass (from a picture frame), silk
cloth
III. LEARNING ACTIVITIES
A. Review

to perform the activity.
- After the activity, there will be a class discussion regarding the
activity and in connection of the Properties of the three main
subatomic particles.
Subatomic Charge Mass, grams Location in the
particle Atom
Electrons (e-) -1 9.109 x 10-28 Outside nucleus
Protons (p+) +1 1.672 x 10-24 Nucleus
Neutrons (n0) O 1.675 x 10-24 Nucleus
