Re: Technology Acceptable Use Policy

Attached is a copy of Lumen Christi¶s new Acceptable Use Policy, which was approved
by the School Commission in April 2008.

The Acceptable Use Policy and Technology Acceptable Use Guidelines give an overview
of the rules and requirements we have put in place at Lumen Christi to insure that student
access to the Internet and technology is safe and educationally beneficial.

A Student Acceptable Use Agreement and Network Responsibility Form is also included.
Please review this form and discuss it with your child/children. You do not need to return
this form to school. All students will discuss and sign this form during their Media
Integration period at school.

If you choose to NOT allow your child to access the Internet while at Lumen Christi
please read, sign and return the Parent Non-Consent Form for Internet Access to Lumen
Christi by September 30th, 2008.

The Non-Consent form also asks for permission to use your child¶s image, photograph,
voice recording, etc for educational and promotional means. If you do not wish to allow
that to occur, sign and return the Non-Consent form.
