Common Proficiency Test CPT Exam for the year June 2010, conducted in two modes:
1. The next Common Proficiency Test (CPT June 2010) (Paper-Pencil Mode) of the
Institute will be held on 20th June, 2010 at the following centres :
2) CPT June 2010 Overseas Centres - Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bahrain, Doha and
Kathmandu (Nepal).
2. The Online Common Proficiency Test (CPT Test) will be held on Saturday, the 24th
July 2010 in two batches comprising of two sessions each as per details given below :
Candidates intending to appear in Online CPT from the above cities will be required to
fill up examination form Online at http://icaiexam.icai.org.
The candidates intending to take the Online CPT shall be required to fill in the Online
examination application form with requisite fees and the facility for Online filling up of
examination form would be made available as indicated below :-
* The online application form for a particular Test may be closed prior to the above Last
Date in case the seats available at a particular centre are completely filled up.
A candidate can appear in Common Proficiency Test two times in a period of six months
i.e. once in Online test either in July, September, or October 2010 and once in Paper
Pencil mode CPT in December, 2010.
The decision of the Institute to admit a candidate to either Online Test in July /
September / October, 2010 or Paper-Pencil Mode Test in December-2010 is final and no
correspondence for change of Test / Centre etc. will be entertained under any
circumstances.
It is an entry level test for Chartered Accountancy Course. It is a test of four subjects i.e.
Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. This test is
of 200 marks. This test is divided into two sessions of two hours each
Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is open only to those students who are already
registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the said course and
fulfill the requisite eligibility conditions.
