CU / MS Yung sinasabi ng reporter ng State of the
Gumuguhit si Jhalanie Nation, 100% mapupunta sa akin. Kapag
yung exhibit yung gallery. Tapos yung
ginawa niya sa kin iba. Kapag 55 piraso

SOT:
Sabi sa media, 100% ng kita ay mapupunta
sa akin, ngunit hindi iyon ang nangyari.
Kung ibinenta ng Php 2,000 ang artwork ko
isa-isa, may higit Php 100,000 ako. Pero
Php 34,000 lang ang binigay sa akin.

TRANSCRIPT:
The reporter from State of the Nation said
100% of the funds would proceed to me.
But Mr. Torres friend told me, We deducted
the cost of the frames made for your
artworks. Theres a big question behind of
what Mr. Torre said to those vendors in
Makati before, he said to them that the
framing for my artworks were all free of
charge likewise for the venue for my exhibit.
Then he told me the opposite of it. I
submitted 55 pieces of artworks and sold it
for 2000 pesos each, I must have at least
Php 110,000 in total but they only gave me
34,000 pesos, on installment basis.

Kasi yung iba
nagtatanong sa akin Dapat Ate Jha
tanungin mo kung magkano laman ng
cheke kasi pera mo yun eh, pumapasok sa
account mo yun eh,yung cheke malaki
palang bilang artist.

SOT:
Tuwing hinihingi ko ang aking pera, lagi
niyang sinasabi na wala, o minsanan lang.
Lagi siyang nagagalit tuwing itinatanong ko
ang pera. Sabi ng iba kailangan ko raw
malaman kung magkano ang nasa cheke,
kasi pera ko iyon. Baka kalahati lang ang
ibinibigay sa akin.

Every time I was asking for the payment, he

always told me that he does not have
money. At some point in a month, I received
nothing from them. He was always angry at
me whenever I ask about the amount of
check. He was always annoyed and irritated
to me. Some said that I must know how
much is the amount of that check because
that was mine, and its under my bank
account. Theres a big amount of money in
that check, and they will only give you less
than half of it. Because you dont know
anything in this kind of business, youre still
new for being an artist.

It was August 29, 2015, after my shoot with

Barnaby Lo for CCTV.com, Coco Torre and I
met. He only gave me ten thousand and he
said that I should go home in Iloilo, and
dont ever come back. I flew to Iloilo with the
ten thousand, yet I still have twenty-four
thousand from him. As for the exhibit, I
painted fifty-five pieces, plus the additional
because they wanted me to draw for them. I
sold almost fifty-five thousand. I have a total
of sixty five thousand. Cebu Pacific

blocks, bato, at yero.
perang inuwi mo rito. Pag-uwi ko rito,
nagstay ako ng Buendia. Maraming taong
nagkukwestyon na bakit bumalik ka rito,
inampon ka ng channel 7. Sabi ko, hindi nila
ako inampon, kasi kung inampon ako ng
channel 7, wala ako sa Makati. At may
kukunin pa akong pera. Kasi sabi ni Coco
Torre nabigay na raw sayo lahat. Eh may
number ako ni Coco Torre, nagtext ako.
Kuya Torre may pera ba akong dumating?
Sabi niya, Oo, may pera kang dumating.
Five thousand.

Wala akong ATM. Di ako nakakuha ng ATM.

Mahirap.

Makati. Binigyan niya ako ng 15k. Gabi
niya ako binigyan noon. Nagwithdraw siya
sa bangko.

SOT:
Bumili ako ng lupa sa San Joaquin at
nagpatayo ng bahay. Bumalik ako sa Manila
at pumunta muli ng Buendia. Maraming

TRANSCRIPT:
I bought a lot in San Joaquin worth eighteen
thousand. I also bought cement, concrete
blocks, and roof. A lot of my uncles are
police, and they said that I should not waste
my money here. As I flew back here in
Manila, I stayed in Buendia. A lot of people
asked why am I still here when GMA
adopted me. I told them that they didnt
adopt me, because if they had adopted me I
would not be here and I still have money to
take. They said that Coco Torre already
gave all my money. I texted Coco Torre if
my money came. He replied that my money
already entered his bank account, and it
was five thousand pesos. But I dont have
an ATM thats why its hard for me to take it.
But some of his friends said that he works in
BDO, and if he works there, he will help me
to get an ATM because he is my manager.

Coco and I met in Makati and gave me

fifteen thousand pesos. Later that night, I
stayed over with my sister.

I currently live here in Masantol, Pampanga.

A couple adopted me here, even though
were not related at all. They fully accepted
me despite of the difficulties in life. Though
Im used to this kind of lifestyle. They have
eight children. This is their father. This is
Berto. He only finished primary education.
This is Ana. This is their mother, Nanay
Digna (Nanay Digna?). And this is Angie.
Some of their children, despite of having a
difficult life theyre still trying their best to
sustain their needs even if they dont have a
well paying job. I am here to help them.
Thats why every time you see me in Makati
I work really hard. I do ask for help, but not
in a way to beg. I am asking help to sell my
artworks. So that I can finally go back and
be with my family in Ilo-ilo, I will leave a
token for them and give back what they
gave to me. I want to fix this house for them.
As you can see our roof is really damaged, I
dont want my siblings to sleep getting wet
by the rain. There is flooding in our area
when it rains. I really want to help them
even I was just here for a short time. By
November, I'll go back home to Iloilo, and
it's really hard because I'm already used to
not being with my family. I also experienced
flood there every time the river rises up
because of the rain. And I felt like God
wants me to give back and love them as my
real family. When I got sick they took care of
me, and they know about my ulcer. Every
time I dont have enough money for my fare
back to Makati, theyre the ones who give
effort to borrow money.
