Title: Soil Invetigation Report
Description:
reference is made to JOBEX Meeting & GEN-E-0107 Item 3.2 During the JOBEX Meeting, bidders were informed that the
submitted soil investigation report No. "2015/104, Rev.1" for the subject requisition will be used during the bidding phase, and
the contractor shall perform another soil report after awarding. Also, in the civil Scope of work, it is mentioned "In case of any
layout Modifications during detailed design, a geotechnical investigation may be required. Please confirm that additional
geotechnical investigation report shall be included in the contractor scope of work for this requisition and will be performed by
successful bidder after awarding and all recommendations indicated in the submitted report shall be considered the basis of
this bid pricing and any additional recommendations for the soil investigation developed by contractor after award shall be
considered as change order

Answer:
Please refer to Scope of Work, section 3.2, which states that the Contractor shall be responsible to revalidate the geotechnical
report recommendations under report number 2015/104, Rev.1 provided by the Company.

Answer:
Request for extension of bid submission date is not entertained as the project scope is a straight forward. The current bidding
period is more than adequate for a project of this nature.

Please refer to Scope of Work, section 3.3.3 Lighting System. LSTK Contractor shall be responsible to provide all supports for
lighting, cable trays/conduits and all other welded parts with tanks.

provided by LSTK Contractor.

Answer:
Please refer to Scope of Work, section 3.3.4 Grounding & Lighting Protection System. Lightning protection system shall be
designed by CMEI Contractor, LSTK contractor shall evaluate the design & provide recommendations about the best lightning
rod location. Welding to any clip supports is the responsibility of LSTK contractor.

Description:
"No. GEN-E0107 sec. 3.3 para 5.0" "As per doc. No. GEN-E0107 sec. 3.3 para 5.0 ?CONTRACTOR must obtain certification of
the complete design of the Fire Alarm System and the Fire Protection system for Super Gasoline and Premium Gasoline
Storage Tanks.? Contractor understands that the certification for complete design of the Fire Alarm System is CMEI scope since
contractor fire alarm scope is limited only to linear heat detection supply on the external roof tanks. Company to confirm"

Answer:
LSTK Contractor shall be responsible to coordinate with CMEI Contractor, and will ensure it design comply with all the tank
associated HCIS requirement. (Reference to Schedule B paragraph 3.8 for interface coordination)

Title: Loss Prevention Foam system pipe size
Description:
FI-A00101 Company to show the missing line size on the semi fixed foam PID doc. FI-A00101 sht 1 to 4, like pipe size for the
2 1/2 " valve, pipe size of the 5" storz connection, isolation valve connection pipe isolation valve size.

Answer:
The pipe size shown on the PIDs is preliminary, Scope break is shown on the PID between LSTK Contractor and CMEI
Contractor. LSTK Contractor is responsible to finalize the Foam water requirements for each tank including pipe sizing and
foam pourer?s selection. In addition, hydraulically size the Foam Ring and Foam piping up to the base of the tank. LSTK
Contractor to communicate final pipe sizing to base of the tank where the interface with the CMEI occurs.

Title: Loss Prevention Fire alarm devices scope of supply
Description:
EL-A10149 "As per the typical installation detail for the linear heat detection doc. no. EL-A10149, there are manual call point,
sounder and strobe shown, Contractor understands that these equipment are in contractor scope of supply. if yes, company to
submit the relevant engineering drawing (data sheet, junction box wiring, cable schedule, ..etc.)"

Answer:
Manual call point, sounder & strobe are excluded from LSTK Contractor. However, Junction box related to Linear Heat Detector
System is included in LSTK Contractor scope.

Answer:
HCIS approval on the fire protection system for tanks is LSTK Contractor responsibility. The Company will only be responsible

Answer:
Vendor shall specify the venting requirements per API 2000 and applicable Saudi Aramco material system specifications.

Description:
General "Contractor understands that tank design shall be considered as per the received tanks data sheet (i.e. Tank capacity,
Dimensions, Liquid levels, operating and design conditions, pumping in and out rates, fluid physical properties? etc.) without
any verification since there is no reference in the received feed package for verifying the tanks process data and sizing (i.e.
Process design basis or PFD, H&MB). This also shall be the basis for bid pricing during proposal Phase. Any changes to the
submitted Design Paramters shall be considered as change order. Company to confirm "

Answer:
Tank capacity, Liquid levels, and operating and design conditions, pumping in and out rates, fluid physical properties are final.
For vent calculations the tank vendor shall comply with the standard requirements of pump in and pump out rate. PFD are
being provided for reference. Provided tank dimensions are minimum (reference Tank Data Sheet Note) please Refer to

Bidder understanding is not correct. Elevation and Orientation will be provided (by CMEI Contractor) at later stage and
accordingly needed drawings, steel structure, access platform, access ladder shall be considered in estimate.

Answer:
Reinforcement % shown in the proposal drawings is indicative and for that reason number of bars are not mentioned on
drawings. It is LSTK contractor's responsibility to design ring wall foundation as per vendor load data and geotechnical
recommendation and arrive at design including % of reinforcement; this shall be in compliance with Saudi Aramco standards
requirement.

Answer:
LSTK contractor shall develop his design based on the parameter specified in the SAES A-114. The actual site preparation
report will be provided as soon as it is available and contractor has to validate its design based on actual numbers. Soil
improvement, foundation and substructure for the tanks as per geotechnical report findings is the responsibility of the
contractor.

m3" is calculated using provided HHLL and LLLL on page 4/4. This does not appear to follow API 650 Para. 5.2.3., where the
net working capacity is the volume of available product under normal operating conditions. The operating levels are normally
between the HLL and LLL. Company to confirm for all tanks that net working Capacity is to be based on HHLL and LLLL or HLL
and LLL.

Answer:
Working Capacities are provided in datasheet are as per SAES-D-100. Nominal capacities of the tanks are specified in the
datasheets and contractor to comply with the requirements.

diameter 610mm=1840mm to top of nozzle. This is above the LLLL Elev. 1800mm. Company to advise revise LLLL.

specify "Self-supported cone". A self-supported cone roof will be impractical and require a very steep slope. Company to
confirm acceptance for a Column Supported Cone Roof, a self-supported dome / umbrella roof. (2) Top wind girder use as
walkway is specified "YES", and page 3/4 Note 19 identifies wind girder is required with handrail. The Tank is with fixed type
roof so wind girder is not required.

Answer:
1. Supported Cone roof can be accepted as per 32 SAMSS 005. Aluminum Dome roof is acceptable for Tank dia. above 30 m
as per SAES D-100 2. Top Wind Girder, Intermediate Girder to be decided based on calculation of stiffness as per API 650 &
32-SAMSS-005.

nominal Dia above 28". Contractor would like to request Company to provide the nozzle loads for nominal sizes 30" to 48".

Answer:
Bidder to consider Maximum allowable Piping loads calculated as per Appendix P of API 650 for Nozzle sizes above 28 ".

datasheets page 3/4 item 6.0 Internal piping /Suction line is specified "N/A". However, on page 4/4 Note #33 states "Tank
shall be equipped with floating suction." Company to advise if floating suction is required. If required, please provide the size &
nozzle mark where it will be connected.

Answer:
Yes. Floating suction to be provided. Floating suction to be provided on Outlet Nozzle. It is to be finalized with the piping
contractor during detailed design.

Silicate and would not be expected to remain intact for the duration mentioned. They would be additionally damaged during
the fabrication and erection process. For surfaces receiving permanent coatings, the mill primer is completely blasted off and
the surface is preserved by the permanent coatings. For those surfaces that do not receive permanent coatings, the mill primer
is left in place, providing some level of preservation, but would not be touched up or reapplied at any point. Please confirm
that this meets Company's intent.

Answer:
Preservation of tanks for up to 1 years after hydro test without product being stored is the contractors responsibility.
Necessary arrangement to be considered by contractor. Contractor to submit the preservation procedure before hydro test for
Saudi Aramco review and approval.
