It is important that you read this document carefully before using any files or
programs in this CD-ROM. You will find two main folders: Book Five and e-
Learning. The contents of the first folder are self-explanatory and so will not be
discussed here.
These flash cards will be used by the English-Chinese Flash Cards program, which is
described in the next section. For now, copy the whole folder to your hard drive, for
example, inside your My Documents folder and make a note of where it is as you will
need to find it when running the program.
The game displays a randomly shuffled deck of cards on the card table (left pane,
Figure 4) either English or Chinese side up. The Chinese words on the cards can be
displayed in either traditional or simplified script and they can be spoken in either
Cantonese or Mandarin.

The installation procedure is the same as for other programs.
If you have an earlier version of this program, there is no need to un-install it.
However, if you know how to, then it may be advisable to do so because it will free
up some memory space on your hard drive. The performance of the dictionary is not
compromised whether or not you decide to un-install.
Figure 9 shows the dictionary window of this program; the layout is the same as
before except for the background colour.
