procedure on patients, and how to complete diagnostic test, as well as scientific
classes such animal anatomy and physiology.

The experience gained from this include learning to work well with others in the
clinical setting. Understanding the needs of the DVMs and LVTs, as well as clients.
The skills that are taught in school, are put to practice, this includes blood draws on
both feline and canine patients, in multiple sites, and running multiple diagnostic test
such ear cytology, urinalysis, CBC, and organ function. There is also surgery and this
includes taking patient history, prepping the surgery suite, shaving and prepping the
patients, getting supplies for the DVM, monitoring the patient through the recovery
process.

EXPERIENCE VOLUNTEER, KENT COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER

MARCH 2016- PRESENT
Prep the surgical suite for the day, performed physical exam on the surgical patients,
and prep patients for surgery. Intubate patients and monitor during and after surgery.
Assist the DVM during surgery and clean the surgery suite including surgical
equipment after surgery. Help clicker train dogs to modify their behavior, and help
them become more favorable for adoption.

Provide a friendly persona for the customer during their shopping experience, create
a clean and welcoming environment. Order inventory on the assigned days. Train
new associates as they enter the company, correctly run the cash register during the
assigned shift.

situations during time as a sale associate. Recognize regular customers and increase
their shopping experience.
