The Lithonia Fluorescent Emergency Lighting System
is a self-contained fluorescent unit inverier th-at ian be
factory-installed in the channel of most Lithonia
fixtures using slimline or4O-Watt rapid start lamps. The
pystem powers one lamp in the fixture at emergency
level for a minimum of 90 minutes upon failure oi
interruption of normal power. lncluded are a "ready"
light to indicate charging condition and a test switch io
simulate loss of power.
Batteries are sealed, spillproof, rechargeable and
maintenance-free, and the battery system-is separate
from the inverter for economicalfield replacement. The
regulated., solid-state charger keeps the battery
system fully charged qnd recharges a depleted battery
pagk in 24 hours. Solid-state, digital, low-level
switching between normal and emergency modes
eliminatet mechanical relays, which ire sirbject to
contact oxidation and mechanical malfunction.
