SanDisk DAS Cache is a server-level caching solution for direct attached storage (DAS), which accelerates application performance.
Brought to you by Dell for use in select 13th generation, FX2 and R920 Dell PowerEdge servers, the solution can enable substantial
performance increases for workloads such as OLTP; OLAP; HPC; and Business Analytics.

SanDisk DAS Cache is a cost-effective and stable solution
supporting both Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Novell SUSE
Linux Enterprise Server and Microsoft Windows applications
that caches reads as well as writes, while ensuring data integrity
for writes via Write-Back caching technology4 on these operating
systems. SanDisk DAS Cache has also added support for
VMware vSphere ESXI 5.5 U21 in Write-Through cache mode.
Flexible in deployment, SanDisk DAS Cache supports various
media as cache devices: SATA, SAS and PCI Express (PCIe)
SSDs; flash drives, such as Dell PowerEdge Express Flash
NVMe PCIe SSDs, and PCIe-based cards within the server,
such as Fusion-io .
Rotating storage can be internal to the server, or external using
select Dell JBOD storage,2 or a combination of HDDs in both
servers and storage to allow maximum versatility. Enable even
greater flexibility and density with the Dell FX2 chassis by adding
SanDisk DAS Cache on an SSD enabled PowerEdge FC430,
FC630 or FC830 server block connected to a FD332 half-width
storage block to create a powerful and highly flexible, scale-out
DAS solution.

Do more in less time using accelerated data analytics, which
provide increased performance for high-IOPS Linux, VMware
and Windows Server applications, while realizing a lower cost
per user, greater transactions per second (TPS), with a reduced
average response time (ART).

storage controllers and operating systems. With options
to deploy on select 13th generation, FX2 and R920 Dell
PowerEdge servers; a wide assortment of density and drive
options are available.
Maximize resource utilization
Leverage SSDs to meet your needs: combine SSD resources
across the entire server-storage infrastructure, use a single
SSDs cache group to accelerate multiple local storage groups
or volumes, or expand local cache with hot plug drives as new
cache for new server devices.
