Petrophysicist (Graduate)

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics. A Masters degree would be an advantage.


Alternatively, Bachelors Degree in Geology, with strong A-Level Physics and Mathematics.

Principal Tasks and Responsibilities:

Compile, interpret and integrate of all available petrophysical data of the area with other subsurface data to form a consistent interpretation for oil and gas field
studies and activities.
Translate well objectives and business requirements into fit-for-purpose, cost effective data acquisition strategy and programs.
Provide operational input and support to well and reservoir surveillance activities, data acquisition for reservoir monitoring, well engineering operations planning
and support, including wellsite operations where necessary.
Co-ordinate and QA/QC petrophysical log and core data acquisition activities, and provide operational petrophysical support and evaluation of new data acquired.
Comply with necessary governance and application of best practice, system/tools and new technology as appropriate in ensuring data integrity, work efficiency
and technical excellence.
Support functional lead to shape the discipline and the company to the aspire goals including functional improvement initiatives, business planning, budgetary
and implementation actions plan.
Working with the data management team to manage, organize and optimize the sub-surface data.
Ensure HSSE critical activities identified & mitigated with appropriate assurance plans and comply to corporate requirements.
Demonstrate leaderships, teamwork, results oriented and maximize commercial value in delivering of projects and work approaches.
Demonstrate and Comply to PetroleumBRUNEI core values and business principles.

EP Data Technician
Requirements:

HND in Information Technology or Computer Studies or equivalent with has result of database and programming subject with Distinction.
Experience in the delivery of information management projects.

The following will be an added advantage:


E&P data management experience in petroleum industry
Experience in the data loading for Schlumberger and/or Landmark suites of subsurface applications
Experience in handling subsurface technical, subsurface data formats, GIS data management and associated data management practices
Have a working knowledge of Oracle
Experience in Linux (preferably Red Hat) operating system

Principal Tasks and Responsibilities:

This position will be assisting EP Data management lead and or Data analyst in all tasks related to data loading and maintenance of EP Master Data Store.
Ensure data accessibility and communicate with EP end user to assess and fulfill their work requests. This includes documenting results of data loading activities
using the appropriate template or analysis tools.
Assist data management team lead and/or data analyst in management of data room
Assist data management team lead and/or data analyst in management of physical storage both internal and external.
Assist data management team lead and/or data analyst to monitoring disk space.
Able to troubleshooting and delivers solutions in related to data issues and/or problems.
Support implementation of new system and/or upgrade of existing system in organization.
Work closely with GIS services team to ensure the accuracy of survey locations in repositories.
Assist in interfacing to the system administrator/IT support team for the support and development of the Data Management Infrastructure.
Assist data management team lead/data analyst in liaise with IT personal both internal and contractor to ensure the stability of relevant system
Perform regular data archival
Perform data retrieval as per user(s) request.
On duty as EP librarian on rotation basis.

Geological Data Analyst (Well Data Analyst)
Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Geosciences, Engineering, or any relevant field. A Masters degree would be an advantage.
For lower qualification, a minimum of 5 years experience related to well or log data management would be required.

The following will be an added advantage:


Good experience of subsurface technical, subsurface data formats, GIS data management and associated data management practices.
A track record of E&P data management experience in petroleum industry especially in well log data management.
Experience in the usage, data management and data loading for Schlumberger and/or Landmark suites of subsurface applications.
Experience in using Linux (preferably red Hat) operating system.

Principal Tasks and Responsibilities:

Maintain and administer E&P Master Data Store, Studio Database (Petrel project) and/or other data repositories.
Implement and maintain E&P data management frameworks comprising of policies, guidelines, QA/QC procedures, methodology, best practices and services.
Work with multi-disciplines to implement and maintain QA/QC procedures, methodology and best practices for in-house well data management.
Maintain robust service request monitoring, demand forecast, service review and improvement.
Respond to well data management needs of the business across organization.
Work with data management team, geoscientists, Petrophysicists, Engineers and other Geoscience support personnel to ensure that data is received in industry-
standard formats and stores according to internal policies.
Support implementation and maintenance of well and logs data management procedures and standards including the governance model, following standards and
practices agreed and put in place within the organization.
Liaise with users to improve and resolving data issues, optimizing workflows and recommending workflow improvements.
Full life cycle support and management of Studio Manager, Petrel (in relevant to Studio DB), Recall DB, including other PetroBankMDS such as Raven application,
PowerExplorer, Team Work Space, etc.
Lead and coach a team of Data Technicians to responsible on handling relevant geological data from either domestic or international assets.
Contribute to Well Data Health Check project activities in conjunction with other requirements such as preparing dataset for EP projects, data-room viewing, etc.
Transfer data, understanding proper storage requirements of data in each repositories i.e. MDS repository as well as in Studio repository.
Interfacing to the system administrator/IT support team for the support and development of the Data Management Infrastructure.
Management of services carried out by third parties in support of your data management activities.
