MML CSR approach

Heritage has strived hard to self-sustain itself through
implementing agricultural projects to subsidize the
running costs. Some of these projects are shown
below:

Success story

Scolasticah Wairimu is one of the success stories at

HFH. Shortly after Scolasticah met her biological
mother and her three other siblings for the first time,
her mother passed away. She was left with the sole
responsibility of taking care of her siblings at 12
years old. Scholasticah and her siblings joined HFH
in 2002.

Since she joined the home, Scholasticah has grown

holistically; mentally, intellectually and socially. She
has studied though primary school, high school and
college through support provided by donors. She is
now successfully pursuing her dream and passion in
media production.

MML has also been a part of this excellent initiative

at HFH by starting and helping maintain a pig farm
for commercial purposes. The farm started with two
pigs in 2015. The farm now has more than 30 pigs

In the spirit of supporting Heritage, we are raising So far, Sheffield Africa has agreed to partner with
funds to help construct a kitchen and dining MML by providing all kitchen equipment and
project, whose construction had started earlier, but appliances for this project
has since stalled due to lack of funds.

Currently, the kitchen staff uses a temporary

mabati structure for food preparation. The space
is dark, congested and not conducive for frequent
meal preparations.

We can help these cheerful and hopeful children

get a proper dining and kitchen facility. The
budgeted amount for this project is Kes. 3.9 million
and the funds will be channeled to provision of the
following for the kitchen:
