You got to answer the proper numbers with conlusions. Capital One
Behavioural round is pretty straight forward and like any other HR rounds.
Credit Card
There were 10 people interviewed on same day. The process is arranged properly with
accommodation and food facility. Cap One did best to make sure the candidates are www.capitalone.com

I applied through college or university and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at
Capital One.

Interview Details Initial Contact at school career showcase. First interview is a case
study, no behavioral questions. The recruiter came and gave an info session so you
weren't totally in the dark. It's high pressure but you just have to have confidence and
really focus on the questions. I was getting too caught up in the lack of information rather
than working with what I had in front of me. Also there will be business oriented
questions such as "do you think this new method is a good idea?".

Interview Question Really think about the math. It's hard to think with lack of
information but the simpler the better Answer Question

I applied through college or university and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at
Capital One in November 2010.

Interview Details The interview consists of a case study. The interviewer presents you
with a business scenario and then asks you to walk through some steps to provide
more info on it. For example, they may give you some values about fixed cost and
marginal revenue then ask you to calculate a breakeven point. You may be asked to
sketch a chart for visualization. The math is basic algebra but the challenge is setting up
the equations yourself in a pressure situation.

Interview Details For campus recruiting the process is: first there is a resume drop,
then they'll do a case interview. If you do well on that they invite you to interview at their
Virginia headquarters. The case interview discusses topics like breakeven points for
credit card defaults. It's not extremely technical or detailed; they want to see how you
think and present your answer.

Interview Question No specific question stands out as most difficult. Just go to the
preparation sessions they offer and review that material. Answer Question

Interview Details Got the On campus interview, still waiting response for powerday.

Interview Question It's a just a dynamic question with business insight, one got to
know the business to be comprehensive. Math is easy, basic algebra, no facy stuf like
DE or CAL. definitely try to make it complete! And be interactive with your interviewer, too.
that helps a lot! they actually loves answering your question (without giving you the final
answer). so don't sweat it. be cool, and just bring your A-game! Answer Question

Interview Question The math part was easy but the analysis part was not very

I applied through college or university - interviewed at Capital One in May 2012.

Interview Details Applied online and through my school's career site. Received a
request to pass a skills test online (some behavioral, some math). After completing this
test, invited to sign up for a preferable interview time. Interviewed on campus with friendly
managers. Case interview: first question was very straight-forward, second question
was a lot more difficult. Asked to clarify question, provide additional information and went
through my thought process.
Overall a painless process, but unfortunately I don't think I approached the second
question correctly as I was not invited for a second round of interviews.
