Deepak K. Pruthi is a urologic oncology fellow at the University of Texas Health San
Antonio, Texas, USA. He graduated from the University of Winnipeg, Canada (BSc
Biology, Biochemistry; BA Psychology). He went to medical school at the University
of Manitoba, Canada, where he obtained his MD and a medical research degree (BSc
Med). He completed his urology residency at the University of Manitoba. As he
completes his Society of Urologic Oncology-approved fellowship, he is also obtaining
a Master in Clinical and Translational Investigation. His primary research interests
include renal insufficiency, anatomical and pathology-based predictive modelling, and
examining oncological outcomes.

Michael A. Liss is a urologic oncologist and assistant professor at the University of


Texas Health San Antonio, Texas, USA. He graduated magna cum laude (BS in
Biology) from Benedictine University in Illinois, USA, received his medical degree
with honours in research from the Medical College of Wisconsin, USA, and
completed his urology residency at University of California Irvine, USA. He obtained
a Masters of Applied Science in Clinical Research during his Society of Urologic
Oncology-approved urologic oncology fellowship at University of California San
Diego, USA. His primary research interests include incorporating imaging and
biomarker translational research into interventional clinical trials, surgical education
and training, and infection prevention with antibiotic stewardship.
