When loading film watch the leader go all the way around the take up spool, close the back, take up the slack by gently rewinding the film until
there is tension, then advance to frame one the rewind arm should spin as you advance film if loaded correctly. Remember to set the correct
ISO when loading new film. When you are done shooting and the camera wont advance any more press the rewind release button on the
bottom of the camera, make sure it stays in, and rewind the film (turning the rewind arm in the direction of the little arrow on it). If flying keep
your camera and film in your carry-on luggage - checked luggage gets x-rayed at a very high power and will ruin your film. The carry-on x-ray is
fine.

Here are some ideas for subjects:
a person close to you (friend/family member you spend time with - consider lighting making it dramatic, soft, dreamy, harsh)
your favorite place
a new place that you will visit over the summer
amusement parks (consider the rides, the architecture, movement, the people)
the beach (umbrellas, towels, horizons, toys, people - be careful not to get sand in your camera, it's deadly!)
flower gardens, botanical gardens (Baltimore and D.C. conservatories), parks
summer weather and its affect on the landscape and people (thunderstorms, light, movement, action)
food, picnics, cookouts
recreation (miniature golf, sports, beach, fairs, carnivals)
your favorite place in nature
water: swimming, diving, splashes, reflections in water
personal objects find a large piece of white paper, take it outside, and photograph objects or people in front of it like a studio
portrait.
