Absence Management Process

Employee sends request for vacation or personal time off in advance to manager for approval.
Step 2.0 Employee is Absent from Work Due to Illness or Personal Reasons
Employee is away from work due to unexpected illness or personal reasons. Proceed to Step
4.0.
Manager checks the Human Resources system to see how much time employee has been
off to date to make sure that employee has sufficient hours remaining. If hours taken
does not exceed annual allotment, manager approves request. Proceed to Step 4.0.
If hours taken exceeds annual allotment, manager returns rejected request to employee.
