The installation of the Carbide Insert Guide (CIG) will eliminate the
possibility of your rod insert pump problems of broken or severely worn
holdown assemblys. The unique design of this guide allows the installation
of a carbide insert to be put into the center of your valve rod guide which will
eliminate holdown wear and breaks.
Wells with deviation or high compression cause a side loading of the pumps
valve rod against the guide, on the top of the pump. When this guide begins
to wear it allows the rod to begin wearing against the pumps holdown causing
it to be come thin enough to wear a hole or break, both resulting in a pump
failure. By adding the CIG, wear is prevented on the guide by the strength
and durability of the carbide insert. This allows your pump to work longer and
eliminate premature failures of the holdown assembly.
The CIG is designed to fit any size of API rod insert pump.
Advantages
Eliminates broken or worn holdown assemblys
Eliminates costly fishing jobs for barrel tubes
Eliminates side loading in pump chamber
Due to its beefier design, it will not pound out
Extended pump run life
Features
Utilizes a carbide insert for increased durability.
Carbide insert has a hardness of 89 HRA.
3 piece designs are stronger and will not pound out like traditional
guides.
Available in standard and high grade materials to suite your well
conditions.
The installation of the Priming Valve (PV) will eliminate gas-locking problems associated with
gassy and low volume wells.
In a gas lock situation, gassy fluid between the pumps two valves is expanded and compressed.
When the pressure in between the two valves becomes greater than the inflow pressure, the
standing valve will not open. If both valves remain closed the pump will gas lock, reducing or
eliminating the wells production.
The PV utilizes a small orifice to allow a controlled leak of produced fluid into the pump
chamber. Fluid is non-compressible, so when the required amount of fluid enters the pump
chamber, the travel valve contacts the fluid thus opening the valve and allowing gas and liquid
to be displaced out of the pump chamber and allowing normal pump operation to continue.
Advantages
Eliminates gas locking
Reduces gas and fluid pound
Reduces premature valve damage
Increases production

Positive Seal Plug (PSP)
The design of the Positive Seal Plug (PSP) eliminates the possibility of
your bottomhole pump hanging up or seizing on the downstroke due to
sands and solids. The PSPs unique design allows sands and solids in
the bottom chamber of your pump barrel to be funneled through the travel
cage and plunger. The PSP utilizes a tight tolerance and a funnel design
to push the solids trapped in your fluid through the plungers center rather
than allowing it to go in-between your plunger and barrel tube causing
hang-ups or seizing the plunger on the downstroke. With the PSP
pushing the solids through the center of the plunger, the plunger is
allowed to fall free without hang-ups.
Advantages
Helps eliminate plunger hangs ups on the downstroke
Funnels solids through the plunger
Fits any API insert pump
Design assists in gas compression
Increases working life of the pump

The hydrostatic pressure will close the Top Gas Check and
the restriction of fluid flow due to the slight clearance will
create a differential pressure that helps the traveling valve to
open. Not only does the Top Gas Check minimize the
effects of fluid pound, but it helps to prevent sand from
settling into the pump. However, in wells with a high gas to
fluid ratio, an additional gas device should be considered.

The Hart Gas Lock Breaker is another option that allows rod operated
pumps to function in wells with a high gas to oil ratio. The Hart
traveling cage is attached to the bottom of the plunger and is longer
than a standard cage.
The high compression cage has limited ball travel and is shorter in height
than an API closed barrel cage. This cage can be used on an internal
thread barrel when you need to get the standing valve and traveling valve
cage closer together.
Dart Valve
The Dart Valve is able to keep the ball off of the seat during the entire
downstroke, which effectively places everything within the pump barrel
into the production column. By opening the traveling valve at the start of
the downstroke, transient forces are not allowed to build up and affect the
opening of the valve within the Dart Valve. This prevents gas lock and
creates a smoother stroke which can extend the life of the pumping
equipment. It is important that a pump with a Dart Valve is not to be
tapped.
Solution Valve
A traveling valve for incorporation within downhole rod pumps. The valve is positioned on the
bottom of the plunger, with the usual traveling valve relocated at the top. As is normally the
case the Standing Valve remains positioned at the bottom of the pump barrel. Within the
Solution Valve, the ball is centered and stationary, while the seat moves up and down in
accordance with resistance imposed by its short drag plunger. Consequently, the valve opens
and closes upon initiation of down and up strokes, respectively. The Solution Valves unique,
exclusive, patented design in travel valve technology works wonders in gassy fluids, increases
pump efficiency in vertical, deviated and horizontal wells, and increases pump life.
