such sawfish and reportedly, this is first such instance
when a sawfish got entangled in their nets, as usually

escape. These fishes are also rare to sight and play a
crucial role in the marine eco system.

area is not often heard of. In two separate incidents,
crocodiles were sighted in fresh water lakes in South Goa.
A crocodile was sighted in the freshwater lake at Benaulim
in Tolleaband; and to no surprise, drew the attention of
onlookers. Locals also spotted crocodiles sun-bathing at
Balli in Canacona around late last month as well.
Pedestrians first
In a special drive, Goa Police aims to
give pedestrians their right to cross
the roads, especially when they use
the zebra crossing to do so. The aim
of this drive is to inculcate traffic
discipline amongst the motorists
when they are approaching a zebra
crossing. During this drive, police plans to implement strict
actions against motorists denying pedestrians the right to
cross on marked zebra crossings. To begin with, this drive
is being undertaken in the major cities of Goa, including,
Margao, Ponda, Mapusa, Panjim and Vasco.
King Cobra rescued

Locals spotted a 12 feet King Cobra at Rivona in
Quepem taluka, inside a locals house and was rescued
by the Quepem Forest Department. It was later released

to the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary. Reptile sighting within
household premises is quite common in some parts of the
state, especially the ones slightly removed from the urban
environment. In fact, 23 species of snakes (poisonous and
non-poisonous) are found in Goa.

Fresh Farm Produce, now National Recognition for
just a drive away Konkani Film
Konkani film, K Sera Sera Ghodpachen Ghoddtelem,
was announced as a national award winner in the category
of regional language films. The movie was awarded the
best Konkani film in this category. K Sera Sera has been
written and directed by Rohan Shinde and produced by de
Goan studio. It is a story of two distinct individuals, one
who believes in changing the circumstances and other who
believes in drifting with the situations around.

event. Swanky and extravagant yacht rides to
watch the races up-close attracted palpable
excitement amongst the fervent guests. Paul
John conducted a Master class and gave
terrific insights in the exhilarating new sport
of Sailing, which is steadily gaining popularity
in India.
The frenzy continued unabated well into
the night with a medley of lively music,
scrumptious dinners and interesting events.
The venue shifted to Moon Stage, specially
created for the event, set against the backdrop
of the expansive Arabian Sea. The opening day
concluded with a marvelous Barbeque evening
at Moon Stage, which was followed by some
foot-tapping music by DJ Sameer. The chefs
team creatively plated succulent barbeques

was the Cocktail Night, which had a celebrity
mixologist creating magic with his innovative

qualities or want to shape them,
then the newly opened Mystery Rooms
in Calangute, is for you. In true sense, the
challenges at Mystery Rooms unlocks the
Sherlock among its players. So, what are
these mystery rooms?
Simply put, you will be locked in one of
the many rooms, and you need to escape
out of it, before the time allotted to you
gets over, or else face consequences. Sounds
simple isnt it? I mean, whats the big deal in
escaping out of a room.. Wrong. In order
to escape out of these rooms, you need to
crack a series of codes and puzzles using
wit more than grit. And believe me, even
the best of minds can get challenged by the
complexity of the codes. In fact, before we
were locked away to escape one of these
rooms, we were warned about the penalties,

RiseNation Army global and want to create
a new world order of kids, living with a raised
awareness that will grow up to change the
world for the better. To achieve this, the band
has already been touring schools and colleges
in Goa and will soon be touring institutes

across India with their music truck. Plans to
conduct music workshops in schools in a few
countries, is also in the pipelines.
