Abigail, a 19 year old ex-gangster enrols into the cutthroat International Business course at
Singapore Poly. Can she handle the drama and competition of school life while starting afresh?

Premise

Abigail is smart, witty, and an ex-gangster. Fresh out of a girls home, she enrols in Singapore
Polytechnics most cutthroat course, International Business.

Headstrong, hot tempered, but highly driven and armed with street-smarts, Abigail is the
complete opposite of her new classmates who live by their textbooks. Abigail is ready to do her
best, but is quickly misunderstood by many classmates. Abigails lecturers are knowledgeable,
but come dangerously close to finding out her past.

Everything changes after Abigail lands a close-knit circle of friends when she stands up to Alex,
the school bully who keeps demanding Sabrina to go out with him. Subsequently Sabrina,
Kyoho and Raj find that Abigail isnt the hooligan everyone thinks she is.

Meanwhile, Abigail shines in SP Karate Club sessions, catching Club Captain Zukos attention.
This aggravates Vice Captain Nikki, who targets her to stop her from bonding with Zuko, Nikkis
long time crush.

Can Abigail juggle all her new responsibilities and stay afloat among the competition? Or will her
snarky personality and dark past ruin her fresh start at school life? Most of all, will she prove
herself to Aunt Yue Qi that she can be as capable as her little brother, Daryl?

Abigail is a teen drama that reminds us of the courage of youth, love, and family packed with
as much action as it is with endearing moments.

Main Characters

Abigail Lee (Pei Xuan)

I may look calm, but in my head, Ive killed you three times.

Abigail, 19, is an ex-gangster. She lives with her aunt and younger brother in a 3 room HDB flat
in Clementi. While her ex-gang called her Pei Xuan, she goes by Abigail now.

Abigails parents died in a car accident when she was six, thus she and her younger brother
have been under the care of Aunty Yue Qi since. As Aunty Yue Qi favours Daryl, Abigail felt
unloved and mixed with bad company in hopes of finding a new family. This led to terrible
circumstances skipping school, smoking, theft, alcoholism and gang fights. She was
eventually sent to a girls home at 16.

Turning over a new leaf, she studied hard for O Levels in the home and is driven to start her
own business someday. Now enrolled into International Business at Singapore Poly, she
desperately wants to prove to Aunty Yue Qi that she can be as capable as her perfect brother.

Impatient, often rolling her eyes and passing snarky remarks, Abigail is hostile to strangers and
has trust issues. Unlike her new classmates, Abigail is far from being the perfect straight-A
studentrelying on her street smarts and common sense instead. However, once you gain
Abigails trust, you gain her enduring loyalty through thick and thin.

Sabrina Ramli

Is this going to affect my GPA?

Sabrina, 17, is a Year 1 International Business student and Abigails new classmate. Raj and
Kyoho are her secondary school friends. Sabrina lives with career-driven parents and two older
siblings in a luxurious 3-storey Holland Village bungalow.

In love with her effortless beauty, Sabrinas many admirers find themselves rejected quickly as
she is the epitome of a model student and only has time to strive for GPA 4.0s. Sabrina detests
being tardy, checking her work at least 10 times to ensure perfection before submission.

Socialising does not come naturally to Sabrina and she may seem aloof and reclusive, always
deep in thought with a straight face. She dislikes breaking the rules, and often tries to dissuade
Abigail from overly adventurous activities. After being saved from the schools vicious bully Alex,
she becomes Abigails closest friend.

Raj Chandran

I put the Raj in Garaj. No? Alright, Ill keep trying.

Raj Chandran, 17, is a Year 1 International Business student who is known for his thick black
eyebrows and everlasting toothy grin. Raj lives with his affluent family, made up of doctors and
lawyers. Not your typical hard-working student, Raj would party all night even with a test on the
next day. A natural genius, Raj rarely does his work and procrastinates, knowing that he can
complete any task fast.

Raj loves to make new friends, his charming smile and vivacious personality often getting him
everyones attention. However, he tends to try to pick girls up with lame jokes and fails terribly.
Raj is also a great comedian, daredevil and seemingly fearless. Until he meets Abigail.

Kyoho Tanaka

I love your smile Abby, please smile more!

Kyoho Tanaka, 17, is a Year 1 international Business student with only nice things to say about
everyone. Of Japanese descent, Kyoho is sweet, bubbly, energetic and optimistic.

Kyoho lives with her wealthy parents and older brother, Zuko, in a two-storey house in
Tampines. Zuko is Kyohos role model and often looks to him for advice, following in his

footsteps whenever she can. The siblings dislike taking their chauffeured family car to school
and have always opted for public transport to fit in with their friends.

A favorite of many teachers, Kyoho is creative and dislikes conflict, often the peacemaker
among her friends. However Kyoho is definitely not a pushover, as her sweet smile can morph
into a steely stare that intimidates even the scariest bullies at school.

Zuko Tanaka

Ill be here for you, whenever you need me.

Zuko Tanaka, 19, is a Year 2 Architecture student and Kyohos older brother. Fiercely protective
of his friends and family, the black belted Captain of the Singapore Polytechnic Karate Club is
caring, gentle and reliable. He disagrees on many CCA matters with Vice-captain Nikki and
ignores her infatuation for him, while slowly developing a crush on Abigail, his junior in Karate.

Zuko is has a great eye for detail, and is devoted to photographing buildings and structures,
building small models of them in his room. He idolises local photographer Aik Beng Chia and
dreams to one day design the tallest skyscraper in Singapore.

The family resemblance between the Tanakas is stunning, but while Kyoho prefers to avoid
conflict, Zuko is fueled with a quiet determination and works hard at facing problems head-on,
resolving conflicts between his peers.

Supporting Characters

Aunty Yue Qi

Cant you behave yourself and just be more like Daryl?

Yue Qi, 52, is an accountant and aunt to Abigail and Daryl. She became the siblings guardian
after their parents death.

She shows disdain towards Abigail as she stirs up too much trouble and often compares her to
Daryl, whom she adores. Aunty Yue Qi deems Daryl worthy of praise for outstanding grades at
school and thinks he will have a promising future, capable to take care of her when she retires.

Aunty Yue Qi will go the extra mile to pamper Daryl, yet she refuses to listen to Abigail even
when she makes sense. She usually leaves her niece to her own devices, having given up on
her since secondary school.

Daryl Lee (Pei Jun)

Just wait til I tell Aunty Yue Qi what you did!

Daryl, 15, is Abigails younger brother and a Raffles Institution boy. Constantly topping his
cohort and the head of the Student Council, he is pampered by Aunty Yue Qi like a little prince,
allowing him to get away with almost anything.

A video game addict, he gets the green light to play even at 2am in the morning. He is cocky
towards Abigail since he scores top grades and receives the best treatment at home.
Daryl obeys Aunty Yue Qis every word. Even though he loves his big sister, he gets Abigail in
trouble with his manipulative nature by sabotaging Abigail to cover up for his own mistakes.

Nicole (Nikki) Seah

If she doesnt quit, I swear Ill make her.

Nicole Nikki Seah, 18, is a Year 2 Banking and Finance student, the black belted Vice Captain
of Karate. The queen bee of the school, Nikki is always seen with her posse, with over a
thousand followers on Instagram gushing over her every selfie.

Nikki is never seen in the same outfit twice, and always gets her way with just a bat of an
eyelash. She loves to play dirty - spreading rumours and bullying unpopular people just for fun.

Abigail is Nikkis biggest competitor, both to her status in Karate and the fact that Abigail gets
Zukos attention, while he ignores Nikkis crush on him. Nikkis ultimate goal is to make Abigails
life a living hell.
