Aims:

To develop vocabulary related to the topic of the lesson


To develop students listening skills

Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ss will have had practice in:

speaking about jobs and professions


comparing different jobs by referring to the skills and qualities necessary for them
listening for gist and for detailed information.

Forms of organization: lockstep, pair-work

Didactic methods: conversation, discussion, exercise

Aids: chalk, board, course book, CD, handouts

Forms of assessment: formative assessment to encourage the learning process; feedback will be provided on accuracy when teaching/eliciting
vocabulary, on fluency during the speaking activities/ discussions, and by the end of the lesson Ss will get grades based on their performance.
