widerthanthoseofthegods.Vastoceans,bearingTyphonianpiranhaanddinosaurshumanity
neverdreamtof,forestshiddendeepwithinancientvalleys,containingentirecitiesthathave
neverknownanythingelse.Volcanicslopes,occupiedbyinfernalcrowsthatpickthefleshfrom
smoulderingbones.ThelandscapeofEdenisnotitselfdangerous,butthelandscapeisnot
whatdefinesthetitan.

PROMINENTFEATURES

WhileTerraisareflectionoftheworld,Edenissimilaronlyinthatitisntahomogenousrealmof
flame.Edenisimpossiblyvaried,muchastheworld,butthevarianceissuddenandjarring.A
visitormaywalkthroughaforestbeforesuddenlystandingontheedgeofanabyssaltrench,the
bottomofwhichholdsunderseavolcanoes.Still,someelementsofthelandscapearefairly
reliable.

THECALDERAS
Agroupofmountains,spreadoutoverseveralhundredmountains,theCalderas,andthe
valleysbetweenthem,supportthevastmajorityofintelligentlifewithinEden.Thegreat
capcities,ontopofeachofthehighestmountains,arethegreatestoftheirkind,capableof
survivinganythingshortoftheBeast,butitisthesmallertownsandcitiesinthevalleysthat
visitorsmostoftenknow.Ascionwiththeanimalpurviewislikelytobewelcomeamongtheir
kind,butanyonewhoisseenbeingcrueltothecreaturesislikelytoreceivethesametreatment
back.Itissaidthatmanyofthelesseravatarsliveamongthecalderacities,andthattheywill
granttheformofabeastmantoanyhumanwhocomestothemwithtruedesireintheirheart,
whethermortalorscion.

WHITESCAR
Inthemiddleofagentlysnowingplainisamassiveholeintheland,atrenchthatruns
thousandsofleaguesdown,filledwithwater.Thistrenchisfilledwithlife,fromthenemeanorca
favouredbythehuntertotheanglerfishfavouredbythespectre.Thescarissoimmensethat
theextremeendsleavetheicyland,enteringtemperateandeventropicalareas,where
unfortunatevisitorscouldmeetgiantsharks,orswarmsofmassivepiranha.Thehuntersbarge
isalwaysfoundsomewhereonthescar,usuallysurroundedbyanhonourguardofnemeans.

PRECINCTGREEN
TheterritoryofthenotquitesaneArbiter,thePrecinctresemblesjungleandmeadow,untilone
realisesthatitslinesareinperfectgeometricpatterns.Flowersgrowinsacredshapes,and
treesinperfectorder.Likewise,theanimalsthatdwellwithintheareaarekeptinperfectorder
bytheArbiter,forfearofherterriblefury.

THEBONEYARD
WhenacreatureofEdenisdying,ittravelssouth,untilthegrassandicegivewaytocool
wasteland,whereeventhewinddies,andthesunfades.ThisistherealmoftheSpectre,he
whowatchestheend.Theskeletonsofnumberlessdeadbeastscovertheland,whilethestill
waterisfullofancientseadwellers.

PRIMORDIALFLAME
ThousandsofgreatlakesfillEden,inlandseas,andmostofthempossessavolcanointhevery
centre.Lavacascadesdowntheslopesofthesemountains,slowlyfillingthelake,bridgingthe
gaptothemainland.Whenevertheseavanishes,theBeastemergesfromthelava,streaming
withflame,andhetakeshisplaceoncemoreinEden.

SAMPLEPASSAGES
IfEdenassaultedapantheonbefore,theymustbedead,forithasthrownitsmightbehindthat
oftheothertitans.Withnogodrealmknowntoattackfrom,Edenisdifficulttofind.Theeasiest
wayintoitsdepths,besidesthatofagodusingtheWay,istotravelfromTerra.
Acripplednemean,orevenatyphonianofTerra,willbegintotravelnorthwhenitrealisesthe
endisnigh.Attheverypole,atmidnight,thedyingbeastwillstepintothedarkness,andfinally
breatheitslastintheBoneyard.Likewise,asAtenslightbombardsthesouth,ascioncanstep
fromthenorthintotheBoneyard.Otherpassages,suchasfindingtheWhiteScarbybreaking
thesurfaceoftheDrownedRoad,orsteppingintoamuspelheimvolcanotoemergefromoneof
thePrimordialFlames,aremoredifficult,iftheyevenexist.

THEBEAST
ThebeastisthatwhichtheavataroftheAnimalpurviewseekstoimitate.Vast,itdwarfsany
othercreature,evenatyphonian,andisrecognisableasnosinglecreature,butallofthem.It
lacksthoughtsandplans,givenfunctionbyanirresistiblerage,adesiretoteardownhumanity
fortheirsins,anddevourtheirbodiestobringforthmorecreatures.

Thebeastisnotcatnordog,aquaticorlandbound.Itisnotmaleorfemale.Itis,simply,the
beastattheedgeofknowledge,asimpleincarnationofhungerandrage.Ittearsvicious
swathesthroughtheworldofEden,beforefinallybeingboughtdownbythecreaturesand
people.Years,ordecades,later,itreturns,subtlydifferent.

Creatures
TheBeastsometimesleadspacksoflessercreatures,whenitresemblesonespeciesmore
thananother.Currently,asthedominantaspectofEden,everybeastofthetitanissubservient
toitsinstincts,savethoseundertheswayofthehunter,butitrarelytakesdirectcommand.

THEHUNTER
Thehunteristheavatarofneedlessdeath,joyfuldeath.Thehunterrepresentsthosethatkillfor
sport,aswellasthosewhodoitforneedlesscomforts.Whalingisapassionofhis,secondonly
tohisloveofashotgunonamoonlitnight.Deathishistreasuredpet,andhesetsituponthose
whoenterhissights.Recently,withtheBeastinascendance,theHunterhashadtospendfar
moretimeonhisbarge.Onlyhismostloyalcreaturesremainwithhim.

Thehunterresemblesafairskinnedhuman,ofNorthAmericandescent,andheoftenwearsthe
blackandredcheckofahunter.Heisneverseenwithoutsomeformofrangedweapon,
whetherarifle,aharpoon,acrossbow,orevenanatlatl.

Creatures
TheHunteristhepatronofpredators,andthemasterofthecreaturesofthesea.Itissaidthat
hedomesticatedthefirstwolvesintodogs,andheisbelovedbythesabertoothtigerslikely
becauseservinghimwasthebestwaytokeeptheirheadsfromhiswall.

THEARBITER
TheArbiteristhepatronofschedule,order,andhabit.Orderedtoaninsanedegree,everypart
ofherlifeandherdomainisdonewithperfectaccuracyandpreparation.Aslongasvisitors
abidebyherinsanelaws,theyfindhersweetandaccommodating.Iftheybreakherrules,they
findherahorrifyingfoe.Hergazetransfixesthosecaughtinitintheviciousfuryofher
disappointment,andtheveryundergrowthshiftstopunishthem.

TheArbiterisawomanofseeminglyEgyptiandescent,wearingadressofpaleyellow,andwith
longhairofagentlepink.Herclothesalwaysremainimmaculate,regardlessofthe
circumstances,andhereyesareanoceanbluethatdevoursthosewhowatch.Sheisusually
foundridingaboutherterritory.Ifvisitinggodsrespecthermadlaws,sheisentirelyamenableto
turningonherfellows.Byherchoice,allofEdenwouldstandinherperfectorder.

Morethantheothermajoravatars,theArbiterisassociatedwithplants.Corrupteddryadsrest
withinhergeometricallypatternedgardens,andcarnivorousflorathreatenthosewhointerrupt
itsdesigns.Relativelyfewcreaturesmarthearea,althoughitissaidshecanunleashswarmsof
nemeanrabbits,whorapidlyrepaythelaughterattheirexistenceinblood.

THESPECTRE
TheSpectreistheavatarthatgovernsdeathamonganimals.WhenacreatureofEden,oreven
amightybeastofTerra,isneardeath,ittravelstotheSpectresterritory.Whenitarrives,itis
eitherdeadorrejuvenated.Usuallydead.TheSpectresupportstheBeastsattackontheworld,
butnotwithmuchforce.Itservesbecauseitseesnobetteroption.Scionswhopersuadedit
therewasanotherpathwouldhaveagreatally.

Thespectresformishiddenbeneathahoodedblackrobe,andnoskinisvisible.Fewhave
everseenbeneaththehood,andnonecanagreeonanyfactoroftheSpectreslooks.Some
saysheisfair,othersdarkskinned.Somebelievesheisabeautifulwoman,otherscallhima
manofsurpassingugliness.AlltheycanagreeonisafaintgreektinttotheSpectresfeatures.

TheSpectrecansometimescallonthecreaturesithassavedontheborderoflife,butmostof
itsservantsaredead,whetherspiritsheldonbyloyalty,orskeletonsanimatedbymagic.

THERIDER
Acheerfulavatarofdomesticatedbeasts,theRiderknowsnolimitsastowhathewilltame
next.Hehasenteredthecalderaridingatyphoniandinosaur,andriddenagiantwaspintothe
clouds,toseewhathecanfind.Charismaticandunpredictable,heisthepatronofthe
Calderas,andisthecauseofthetremendousintegrationofanimalpowerintotheirwayoflife.

TheRiderisajollyfellow,alwaysseenridinguponhislatestconquest.Hesportsafedoraanda
leatherjacket,andwieldsawhip.DarkskinnedandseeminglyHaitian,heisthemostpleasant
oftheavatars.Thatsaid,heisnotatrueallytotheworld.Whilehedoesntwanthumanity
dead,liketheBeast,hewantscivilisationrebuiltfromthegroundup,withanimalsasamajor
part.

whole.
Edenisfullofcreatures,manyofthemnemeanandtyphonians,andalsohasasurprising
populationofhumansandhumanoids,mostofthemlivinginandaroundtheCalderas.Mostof
thecreaturesofEdenaremoreintelligentthanthoseoftheirkindinothertitans,ortheworld,
andmostcanbereasonedwithbysomeonewhocanspeaktothem.

AVATARSOFEDEN
TheBeast
CurrentlythedominantavatarofEden,theBeastisamassivecreatureofindeterminate
species,blendingtraitsfromeveryconceivablecreatureintooneviciouswhole.Risinguptotwo
hundredfeetinheightwhenitdesiresto,theBeastrepresentstheanimalasapredatoranda
destroyer,withoutreasonorcompassion.Itisnot,however,unintelligent.

Beforethewar,theBeastwaslockedintoacycleofdeathandrebirth,tearingaviciousswathe
throughthehumansofEdenbeforeitwastakendown,andthenemerginganew,streamingwith
magma,fromavolcano.Sincethewar,ithasdispensedwiththis,remainingwholeandeven
puttingasideitshatredofthecalderacitiesinfavourofthefarmoreegregioussinsofthe
humansoftheworld.TheBeastdespisesthosewhowoulduseandabuseanimals,whether
huntingthemorsimplytrainingthem,and,ifithasitsway,itwillslayeveryhumanwhodares
useananimalasanythingotherthanpredatororprey.
