EZStart

Traxxasbroughtonboardelectricstartingsystemsintowidespreadusefornitrofuelpoweredmodels.Mostof
theirnitropoweredmodelscarrythis"EZStart"system.Itconsistsofasmallelectricmotorgearedtoarear
engineshaftandawiringharnesstostartthenitroengineinawaysimilartofullsizeautomobiles.Thewiringhas
leadstotheelectricmotorandtheelectricallyheatedglowplug.Thestarterbatteryiskeptseparatefromthemodel
inawandlikedevice.Theendofthewandisinsertedintothevehicle'sreceiver,andthentheuserpressesthe
buttononthewand.Theelectricmotorturnstherearshaftuntilignition,oruntilthewand'sbatterydrains.Traxxas
hasalsoreleasedpullstartsystemsfortheirengines,sothattheEZStartsystemcanbereplacediftheownerso

nitroboatcanbedriventoshore,intheeventthattheenginecutsoutduringuse.Thisoperatesbyapplyingthe
brakewhichactivatesgearingthatcouplesanelectricmotortothepropellershaftofanitropoweredboat.This
enablestheboattobereturnedtoshore.

modificationspossible.TheEMaxxhasbeenusedasabasechassisbytheUSTroopsinpostinvasionIraqasa
bombscout[57][58][59][60]AccordingtotheUSMilitarythetroopsbuiltthisfromthegrounduphowever,American
