My visit came at a very difficult time for the member.
She was distraught over losing her son just a month ago. She had a stroke and surgery several months earlier and was having difficulty coping with everything. She was losing a lot of weight and today she just wasnt feeling well. Now 1:30, I asked if she had eaten anything. She replied, No, not today. With her approval, I went to the kitchen and fixed her a quick meal, for which she was very appreciative. She said that of all the help offered her, what I did today was the most significant. Taking the time to listen to our members gives us the opportunity to turn around a day and maybe even a life...just by doing what we love to do.
