Year End Accomplishment Report in Campus Journalism

S.Y. 2016-2017

I. Introduction:

Journalism is an activity that helps the pupils to be a good writer. It provides

many opportunities for them to learn, to show their ability in writing news whether in
English or in Filipino. It also adds their wide learning in vocabulary and promotes their
social life in the field of news writing in our society.

Learning journalism is fun and enjoyable and sometimes boring in the since that
the writers experienced a try and error portion in the field of news writing but still the
writers continue to work for it in preparation for the coming contest in the district level. If
time will permit the writers, it will be continued until the division, regional, and even in the
national level. This can be happen with the help of the parents and the teachers.

And the school journalism coordinator or the assigned school paper adviser
prepared her plans of activities for school year 2016-2017

II. Accomplishments:

1. Organized writing club or journalism in the school.

2. Conducted orientation on journalism to the school journalists.
3. Conducted 4 day seminar-workshop for the school journalist.
4. All the teachers (3) attended the district seminar-workshop of school paper advisers
conducted last September 2016 conducted in Bauko Central School.
5. Completed one issue of school paper publication with its name as GOTANG TRIBUNE.
6. 6 pupils participated in the Mountain Province Division Press Conference (DSPC) last
December 1-3, 2016 in Kin-iway, Besao, Mountain Province.
7. One pupil was qualified to the regional press conference (RSPC) Science and
Technology
