Emperor The emperor was the highest ranking in the
feudalism Japan, he didnt have as much
power as the military leaders like the Shoguns but he was considered as a god or a religious leader. Shogun Shoguns were the highest military leaders and they formed their courts and ruled the country until the Emperors courts wiped away the establishment of the Shoguns. Daimyo Daimyo were lords or governors and they worked for the Shoguns and rule a part of their big lands that the Shoguns gave. They were secondary military leaders who had Samurais at their command. Samurai The samurais were elite warriors that fought for their Shoguns or Daimyo so that they get more power than the Emperor, they were trained well and wear special types of armours. Ronin Ronins were Samurai that dont fight for the Shoguns or Daimyo, they are also well trained, they might be hated by their Shogun or Daimyo or the lords might have died. They might also be murderers, robbers and highwaymen. Peasants Peasants were workers for the Emperor, the Shoguns, the Daimyo. They include, farmers, craftsmen, builders. Their main jobs were to grow crops on land.
