Foreword

This operator's manual is intended as a guide for the safe and efficient use and
maintenance of the machine.

Therefore, carefully read and follow it before starting and operating the machine, or
before carrying out any preventive maintenance. Especially, give the most priority to
safety.

Keep the manual in the cab so that it is always at hand. Replace it immediately with
a new manual, if it is lost.

Many hours are spent on design and production to make a machine that is as
efficient and safe as possible. The accidents which occur in spite of this, are mostly
caused by the human factor. A safety conscious person and a well maintained
machine make a safe, efficient and profitable combination. Therefore, read the safety
instructions and follow them.

We continually strive to improve our products and to make them more efficient
through changes to their design. We retain the right to make these changes without
committing ourselves to introducing these improvements on products that have
already been delivered. We also retain the right to change data and equipment, as
well as instructions for service and maintenance without prior notice.

Unauthorized modifications of the machine may impair its function and/or safety and
affect machine life. In order to maintenance safe and efficient function, always use
Jun CS genuine spare parts.

The symbol appears at various points in the manual together with a


warning text. It means: Warning, be alert!
It is the obligation of the operator to make sure.

Read the manual before using the machine, to make yourself


familiar with the procedures and instructions for operating,
inspecting and maintenance.

Precautions are essential to avoid accident. Managers and


operators shall have knowledge and measures about potential
danger. Further safety precautions and requirements are given
within this manual.

The following warning level have been used in this manual and
the product to indicate the seriousness of the hazards that could
be encountered by failing to comply with the applicable product
warnings, as follows:

DANGER
Identifies immediate hazards that will result in death or
serious injury if the message is ignored.

WARNING
Identifies potential hazards that could result in death or
serious injury if the message is ignored.

CAUTION
Identifies potential hazards that could result in minor or
moderate injury if the message is ignored.

IMPORTANT
"IMPORTANT" has been utilized in this Manual to denote
those User Directions that must be followed to assure the
safe operation and maintenance of the machine.

It cannot foresee all hazards that will arise in the field. Therefore,
safety measures described this manual can not cover all
situations.

To avoid the risk of accidents, operator must follow the rules and
recommendations given in the Operator's Manual, but also pay
attention to potential work area hazards and the necessary
precautions.

The machine operator must be in charge of the working area


of the machine.

1. Basic Precautions

Read the operators manual

Improper operating and maintenance of the machine can result


in equipment damage or serious injury. Read through the manual
before using the machine, to make yourself familiar with the
procedures and instructions for operating, inspecting and
maintenance. Do not operate or service the machine and
crusher before making yourself familiar with the contents of the
manual.

Keep the manual in the cab so that it is always at hand.

Wear protective clothing

Avoid wearing loose clothing, jewelry, or other items that can


catch on control levers or other parts of the machine.

Wear proper protective items

Wear a hard hat, safety shoes and a safety belt for added
security. Be sure to wear safety goggles, respirator or filter mask,
hearing protection, gloves and other protective items, as
appropriate.

Conform the function of safety device, before using.

Observe the instruction and warning

The operator of the machine must know and follow warnings and
information given on safety signs.

Carelessness or neglect on the instructions and warning can


result in their death or injury and costly damage to the crane and
property.

Operator's manual or decals, which are missing or have been


damaged, must be immediately replaced.

Clean the decals

Apart from that the decals must be kept in a legible, i.e. clean
condition.

If a sign has been damaged, it must be replaced immediately.

Avoid alcohol or drugs

The machine operator must be thoroughly rested and must


never operate the machine under the influence of alcohol,
medicine or other drugs.

Measures before operation

To ensure safe operation, be sure to conduct periodic inspection


and maintenance of the machine.

Inspect your machine carefully each day or shift by walking


around it before you start operating to avoid personal injury. If
any abnormality is found at a regular inspection / maintenance,
repair it.

Never operate with inspection/maintenance

If another person should operate the machine while service is in


progress, the service personnel can sustain serious bodily injury.
Before performing any work on the machine, attach a Do Not
Operate tag on the control lever.

Keep personnel clear from working area

Never admit any persons into the work area who are not taking part
in the work to avoid personal injury.

Ensure that no persons are near the working area of the


machine.

Prepare for emergencies

Be prepared if a fire starts or if an accident occurs. Keep a first


aid kit and fire extinguisher on hand. Establish emergency
procedure guidelines to cope with fires and accidents.

Know who to contact in an emergency and keep emergency


telephone numbers in a prominent place.

Follow safety rules at your workplace

Any person who ignores the safety rules, there is a great risk of
serious injury. When operating or maintenance the machine,
follow all the safety rules, precautions and procedures.

Avoid heating near pressurized fluid lines

Flammable spray can be generated by heating near pressurized


fluid lines, resulting in severe burns to your-self and bystanders.

- Do not heat by welding, soldering, or using a torch near


pressurized fluid lines or other flammable materials.

- Pressurized lines can be accidentally cut when heat goes


beyond the immediate flame area. Install temporary fire-
resistant guards to protect hoses or other materials before
engaging in welding, soldering, etc.

Avoid applying heat to lines containing flammable


fluids

Do not weld or flame cut pipes or tubes that contain flammable


fluids.

Clean them thoroughly with nonflammable solvent before


welding or flame cutting them.

Remove paint before welding or heating

Hazardous fumes can be generated when paint is heated by


welding, soldering, or using a torch. If inhaled, these fumes may
cause sickness.

- Remove paint before welding or heating.

- Avoid potentially toxic fumes and dust.

- Do all such work outside or in a well-ventilated area.

- Allow fumes to disperse at least 15 minutes before welding or


heating.
- The following applies for removing paint:

1) If you sand or grind paint, avoid breathing the dust.


Wear an approved respirator.

2) If you use solvent or paint stripper, remove stripper with


soap and water before welding.

3) Solvent or paint stripper should not be placed next to


flammable material.

2. Safety guide for attaching crusher

Suitable excavator for crusher

Operating weight and lifting capacities of excavator shall be


considered to match with crusher. If the excavator could not
overcome the weight of crusher, it causes serious accident by
overturn.

Protectors against fragments

Excavator, attaching crusher, shall equip protectors with


sufficient strength, against falling fragments when crushing.

Safety guide for attaching

The crusher shall be provided with any hydraulic oil because


each excavator uses different oil.

At first time attaching crusher to excavator, fill the crusher


cylinder with hydraulic oil slowly; if possible, repeat it several
times from opening to closing the cylinder. Then turn off
engine and check the hydraulic oil level in the tank, and refill
oil to normal level.

Above procedures shall be done to prevent pump failure due


to lake of oil and cavitations.

Connecting parts shall be cleaned carefully, before connect


the crusher hose to pipe.

Check conditions of excavator and crusher

Check all parts of excavator and crusher before starting.


Check damages, cracks, wear, tightening torque, leakage and
items influence to safety refer to operators manual.

Especially in case of crusher, check the crack of crusher body,


loosening on the tightened parts, pins, and leakage of cylinder.

If it has problems, repair it.

3. Safety guide in crushing workplace

Check the conditions in workplace

Pay attention to conditions in workplace! Otherwise, accidents


may be occurred. Before operating, check workplaces, work
ways, obstacles and another machines.

Also, pay attention to the change of around conditions.

Ensure the safety of your workplace

Old building is easy to collapse.

Especially when work in building, check carefully that building


could support weight of working machine..

Ensure the emergency exit

Make sure the passage to escape from emergency conditions


during crushing. Ensure the straight passage with opposite
direction of crushing, if circumstances allow.

Keep away from electric power lines

Serious injury or death can result from contact with electric


power lines. Never move any part of the machine or load
closer to the electric power line than the minimum established
safe distance.

Before operating in the vicinity of electrical power lines or


equipment, the power has been turned off.

4. Safe guide for Crushing

CAUTION : Immediate stop under abnormal


conditions

Stop operating immediately, when occur the strange vibration


and noise. Seek the cause, and repair it.

Operate the machine and crusher with careful observations.

CAUTION : Concentrate for work

Do not read something or telephone during work. Such actions


shall distract operator from working.

CAUTION : Ensure safety distance

Never allow anyone underneath the crusher because serious


injury or death can result.

Prevent persons from entering or remaining in the danger area,


i.e. a distance of at least 20 m in all directions from operating
machines.

CAUTION : Working with good visibility

Stop working when fog, snow or rain impedes your view. Wait
until visibility recover clearly.

DANGER : Crushing from high to low


When crushing high structure (i.e. posts and wall of building,
chimney etc), crushing from higher parts to lower parts.
Otherwise, structure may be collapsed at a time.

Always crush from high to low, and from floor to post. Pay
attention to conditions for work piece

WARNING: Avoid side tipping

The best working position is dozer blade direction. Side


direction is unstable because of bad stability. If possible,
operate the machine with front of rear direction.

DANGER: Secure sufficient working area

Confirm that the machine is on a firm, level surface. Secure


sufficient working area with the regard to moving of excavator.

DANGER: Avoid collapse

Soft ground may collapse when operating the machine on it,


causing the machine to tip over, possibly resulting in serious injury
or death. Investigate geographical and geological features in
advance to prevent the machine from tipping over and the
ground from collapsing. Always operate on a firm, level surface.

IMPORTANT: Do not lifting

It is very dangerous lifting and moving the work pieces with


crusher. Especially, breakable materials may fall down during
lifting. Never use as handling device.

IMPORTANT: Never hit the work piece

Never hit the work piece.

Crusher or attachment of excavator may be broken. Also, it


may cause collapsing of unexpected parts in old building.

IMPORTANT: Caution for cylinder clearance

Do not work under the positions that full max. stroke or min.
stroke of each cylinder. End parts of cylinder may be broken by
reactions of crushing force. Crushing with approximately
100mm clearance of cylinder stroke.

IMPORTANT: Do not support machine with


crusher

When raise the excavator with crusher, parts of crusher may


be deformed or broken.

IMPORTANT: Do not push with crusher

When push or pull the piles of concrete or fragments with


crusher, parts of crusher may be deformed or broken.

IMPORTANT: Change crushing point gradually

Large crushing distance cause large fragments, and parts of


crusher may be deformed. Crush the work pieces with small
crushing distance, and also change the position gradually from
end of work pieces.

IMPORTANT: Do not operate attachment during


crushing

Do not control boom/arm, traveling or slewing the excavator


simultaneously during crushing. Parts of crusher may be
deformed or fragment may fly unexpected direction, or
structure may be collapsed.

Never control the excavator during crushing.

IMPORTANT: Do not work for pull-up

Never pull out the work pieces, it cause damages of


excavator/crusher or danger of crumbled. Work pieces must be
crushed.

5. Safety guide for maintenance


WARNING: Read the procedures for inspecting
and maintenance.

Improper operating and maintenance of the machine can


result in equipment damage or serious injury. Read through
the manual before using the machine, to make yourself
familiar with the procedures and instructions for operating,
inspecting and maintenance.

Stop the engine before beginning inspection and


maintenance

Inspection and service is very dangerous when engine is running.


Be sure to stop the engine before performing inspection and
maintenance.

Before starting maintenance or repair work the machine must be


parked on level ground, turn the key switch to OFF to stop engine.
Move the lever to the LOCK position.

Use appropriate tools

Using damaged tools or using inappropriate tools for the required


application is very dangerous, and may also cause damage to the
machine. Make sure to use the tools that are appropriate for the
specific job.

Use appropriate lifting gear or a crane to lift crusher. The


equipment used must be of sufficient load bearing capacity.

Keep the machine clean

Spilled oil or grease, or scattered parts are dangerous and can


cause falls. Keep the machine clean.

Avoid high-pressure fluids


The hydraulic system for the implement operates under high
pressure. When replenishing or draining hydraulic oil, or
performing inspection or maintenance, be sure to first relieve the
high pressure.

Fluids such as diesel fuel or hydraulic oil under pressure can


penetrate the skin or eyes causing serious injury, blindness or
death.

This risk can be avoided by relieving the pressure before


disconnecting any hydraulic hoses or other lines.

The emission of hot oil under high-pressure from a small leak


could result in serious bodily injury. Wear safety goggles and thick
gloves when checking for leaks. Use a piece of cardboard or a
plywood block to detect emissions of hot oil. If the hot oil should
contact your body, obtain prompt medical treatment.

Check after maintenance

Be sure to see that parts are operating properly after service.

Check maintenance which has been carried out properly, and


check bolts for loose connections, check the fuel, oil, and water
for leaks.

Dispose of fluids properly

Improperly disposing of fluids can harm the environment and


ecology.

Before draining any fluids, find out the proper way to dispose of
waste from your local environmental agency. Do not pour oil into
the ground, down a drain, or into a stream, pond, or lake.

Waste oil and other contaminating liquids should be taken care of


by a firm especially authorised to carry out such work.

Avoid unauthorized modifications and use of


genuine parts

Modifications not recommended may cause safety hazards. The


implementation of unauthorized modifications or the use of
unauthorized attachments could result in bodily injury. Also, use of
non-approved parts may impair its function and/or safety and
affect machine life. In order to maintenance safe and efficient
function, always use Jun CS genuine spare parts.

1. Lubrication
Lubrication is an important part of preventive maintenance. The
service life of pins and rotating parts can be extended
considerably, if the machine is lubricated in a correct way.

Wipe off grease nipples and grease gun before greasing, so that
dirt and sand is not introduced through the grease nipples.

Also, grease the bearing until new, clean grease is forced out
through the outer seal.

Greasing intervals
2 points of jaw pin : every 2 hours
2 points of cylinder pin : every 2 hours
2 points of rotating parts : daily or every 2 hours

Adjust proper amount of injection and period according to


working conditions.

Be sure to use clean grease.

Recommended specification :
Same as that used for excavator.

2. Hydraulic oil
Recommended specification :

Same as that used for excavator.

Maintenance

CAUTION!
Carefully read and follow it when carrying out any
preventive maintenance and inspection.

1. General
Thorough maintenance and care (as well as the periodic
inspection) are the best prerequisites for a permanent
availability of the machine and low repair requirements. The
stability of the machine is a prerequisite for safe assembly,
maintenance and repair work. Therefore, comply with the
inspection items and inspection intervals, maintenance method.

To inspect and maintenance, according to the following


procedure:

1. Park the machine on a level and firm ground.

2. Close the cylinder fully.

3. Lower the crusher down on a firm and clean block of


wood.

4. Stop the engine.

5. Wait for 10 minutes until residual pressure in the


crusher body and the inside of piping has been
released.

6. Close all the shut-off valve of crusher piping.

Also, check the following every maintenance

Checking the crusher body and jaw body for crack (Visual
check)

Maintenance

Inspect the crusher body and connecting hoses, piping for


leaks, if necessary, retightening it.

Check that all connections for looseness and tighten loose


connections to the specified torque. If it is damaged,
replace it with a new part.

Improper maintenance and use of the machine can be


dangerous and may even cause fatal injury. Special attention
must be paid to the following matters when maintenance.

Perform the maintenance work of all hydraulic parts in a clean


area. Always keep the work area clean when disassembly and
assembly and make sure that there is no dirt inside the crusher.

Make sure that apply a clean working oil or grease to O-rings


and packings and seals before assembly. Pay attention to
the direction of installation.

Do not force any parts when disassembly and assembly, and


take care not to lose the dismantled part.

Always use Jun CS genuine parts when replacing parts. If


any parts other than genuine ones are used and a serious
damage occurs, the machine warranty may become null and
void.

Wipe off spilled fluids immediately when maintenance the


crusher or machine.

2. Routine maintenance intervals


Every 2 hours

Greasing each pin and cylinder connections

Daily

Check that the parts are well-tighten

Check the shearing knife for wear and damage

Check that the connecting hoses are well-tightening

Greasing the rotation parts

Weekly

Check the shearing knife clearance

Check the crusher body and the jaw for wear

Check the welding portion for crack

Check the connecting hoses and main hydraulic


parts for oil leak

IMPORTANT
To ensure safe operation, be sure to conduct periodic
inspection and maintenance of the machine. Comply with
the inspection items and inspection intervals, maintenance
method.

Storage
Remove the crusher from the machine according to the following
procedure for safety.

1. Park the machine on a level and firm ground.

2. Close the cylinder of crusher fully.

3. Lower the crusher down on a firm and clean block of wood


and release the quick-coupler (quick-clamp or link).

4. Stop the engine.

5. Push the crusher acting pedal several times both sides to


release the working pressure in the circuit.
Wait for 10 minutes until residual pressure in the crusher
body and inside of piping has been released.

6. Close all the shut-off valve of crusher piping.


Close the locking valve on pipeline of machine.

7. Loose the connecting hose, install hose plug to prevent


contamination.
When uncoupling the crusher hose, plug the end of hoses
and pipeline of machine. When it spilled to ground, clean off it.

Storage

Lay the crusher horizontally on wood block

Close the jaw fully when storing, install hose plug to prevent
contamination.

Apply a small amount of antirust to exposed parts of the


machine to prevent rust.

Pay attention to the risk of contamination due to spilled oil or


working oil.
