So Paulo is Brazils largest city, its skyscrapers, museums, theater, stadiums, make everyone

feel like would be in a mosaic of the world. There is in that city a mixture of modernist
architecture, popular housing and mirrored skyscrapers, one of those spectacular building is
Municipal Theater of So Paulo, the most beloved classic music theater of the city, it was built
in the early 1911, its style is influenced by the Paris Opera, it was considered bold for that
time, with Renaissance and Baroque features on the faade, and inside it many adornments
and works of art: busts, bronzes, medallions, frescoes, crystals, neoclassical columns, stained
glass, mosaics and marbles. Another building in So Paulo that is one of the most emblematic
is the Copan Building; it was built by the architect Oscar Niemeyer who is internationally
known for his creative use of Modernism and his architectures audacious forms. The S of the
Copan is said to make an allusion to sensuality, or to forms found in nature, such as the curves
of a dune or a wave.
