someone unfamiliar with the topic that the data relate to.
In this unit, you will develop skills and instincts that will allow you to create clear,
convincing presentations of any data set you encounter. You will also learn to look at
any data chart or plot with a critical, mathematical eye and point out trends and
important features of the data. As part of this process, you will work on an extended
graphing exercise throughout the unit. At the end of the unit you will have prepared a
presentation based on graphs you have made yourself. This lesson introduces the unit
and prepares you begin work on a unit application problem.
