We are writing to inform you that our organization, Industrial District Green (IDG), is in complete
agreement with the City's resolution to support SB-705, which would ban polystyrene foam
containers throughout the entire state starting January 2020.

IDG is a community-based greening organization that primarily plants and maintains trees, but
also works on open space and green infrastructure projects. Our geographical focus is the
industrial neighborhoods of Downtown Los Angeles which are located adjancent to the Los
Angeles River.

Stormwater management and solutions have been a key component of our mission since 2012.
given the many pollutants, including polystyrene foam, that travel from our neighborhoods into
the LA River watershed and then on out into the ocean.

Given our stormwater management and greening efforts, we greatly appreciate the work you
are doing to promote a cleaner California and healthier Pacific ocean. For this we would like to
