Mental Health
Mental health refers to our cognitive, and/or emotional
wellbeing - it is all about how we think, feel and behave.
Mental health, if somebody has it, can also mean an
absence of a mental disorder. Approximately 25% of
people in the UK have a mental health problem during
their lives. The USA is said to have the highest incidence
of people diagnosed with mental health problems in the
developed world. Your mental health can affect your
daily life, relationships and even your physical health.
Mental health also includes a person's ability to enjoy
life - to attain a balance between life activities and
efforts to achieve psychological resilience.
Functional Skills
Understanding Grammar of English
1. Future Tense
Simple future tense is used when talking about things that
will happen at a time later rather than the present time.
Sometimes you will hear people call future simple tense
will, this is because most of the time you will use the future
simple tense with the modal auxiliary will.
The pattern:

Subject + will + Verb 1 + object + adverb

e.g - Nina will see doctor tonight

2. Future continuous tense
Future Continuous to indicate that a longer action in
the future will be interrupted by a shorter action in
the future. Remember this can be a real
interruption or just an interruption in time.
The pattern:
Subject + Will be + Verb 1 (+ing)

e.g. - I will be watching TV when she arrives tonight.

- Tonight, they will be eating dinner, discussing their
plans, and having a good time.
3. Future perfect tense
The Future Perfect expresses the idea that
something will occur before another action in the
future. It can also show that something will happen
before a specific time in the future.
The pattern:

Subject + will have + V 3

e.g. - By next November, I will have received my

promotion.
- By the time I finish this course, I will have
taken ten tests.
4. Present perfect continuous tense
We use the Future Perfect Continuous to show that something will
continue up until a particular event or time in the future. "For five
minutes," "for two weeks," and "since Friday" are all durations which
can be used with the Future Perfect Continuous. Notice that this is
related to thePresent Perfect Continuous and the Past Perfect
Continuous; however, with Future Perfect Continuous, the duration
stops at or before a reference point in the future.
The pattern:

Subject + will + have + been + Verb 1 (+ing)

e.g. - You will have been waiting for more than

two hours when her plane finally arrives.
