TUTORING ACTIVITY PLAN for: Logan

ELA Objectives (for St. Agnes student):

Following the reading a short passage and being introduced to annotating and summarizing passages, Logan
will annotate and discuss the main idea of two passages with an accuracy of 80% with correctly identifying the
main ideas and details of what he read.

Describe the activity in each section and indicate high/low technology being used for each part of the activity:

Warm-up (2 min) We will briefly discuss main idea and details with Logan using an ice
cream cone. The cone will represent the main idea of a passage and the
3 scoops of ice cream represent supporting details.

Pre-Test (5 min) Using the Smart Board, Logan will read a short passage and we will ask
him basic questions relating to the story, such as the main idea, and see
how much information he retains from reading the passage.

Math Objectives (for St. Agnes student):

Following a discussion on how to read a clock, the hands of a clock, and vocabulary relating to it, Logan will
take part in an activity where he will have to match the time shown on a clock to the digital time with an
accuracy of 80%.

Warm-up (2 min) Logan will watch a short video that discusses the parts of a clock and how
to tell time by looking at one.

Pre-Test (5 min) Using quizlet, Logan will be shown 10 different pictures. Each picture will
be a clock with a different time on it and Logan will have to tell us the time
that is shown.

Review of Prior To review prior knowledge, we will go over the big and little hands of a
