Why is salvation necessary?

Many people ask the question, "Why is salvation necessary?" Not all of them find an answer. It's

not an easy question to answer. First of all, you need to know what salvation really is. Salvation isn't just

preservation or deliverance from harm, ruin, or loss, but it is also and more importantly the deliverance

from sin and its consequences, believed by Christians to be brought about by faith in Christ. Salvation is

important for many reason. It leads us and allows us to go into heaven and avoid being sent into hell.

Everyone is born with Original Sin and Salvation is what frees us from this too. So why is salvation

necessary? The short and simple answer to this question is that sin separates us from God and in order

to "bridge" that gap, we need a Saviour. Jesus is our savour. He died on the cross for us.

There are two premises for salvation. One is the Natural Law which says how we have to act,

and the second is the fact in which we cannot obey this law. Jesus died for us. Besides to cure us from

Original Sin there are some other reasons too. One of the reasons, and a major one too, is in order to

allow us to get to heaven. No one is good enough to get to heaven on their own. We dont obey natural

law and therefore wouldnt be accepted. The Bible states this point as it basically explains we all sin and

disobey Gods commandments. Since we are not perfect, we have to be saved in order to get into

heaven. We will and wont be able to get there any other way. Another reason why Jesus died and

became our saviour is to avoid being sent to hell. Without salvation we would all just be sent to hell.

When Jesus rose from the dead he told us that if we believe he is our saviour and get baptized then we

will be free of Original Sin, but whoever doesnt will end up going to hell. We want to be lead to a new

life in heaven, as that is our goal.

From the Catholic perspective, the purpose of life according to Christianity is that we have a

desire to be reunified with God in heaven. Original sin gets in the way of this. Original Sin is not just the

desire to sin. It is much more than just that. It is a profound law which makes us love evil. Even though

we know things arent right and are bad we do them anyways because of this flaw. Original sin is an

Augustine Christian doctrine that says that everyone is born sinful. We learn this in simple terms

through the allegory of Adam and Eve. We learn about original sin and know we are born with it since

we are little, but we dont exactly understand it. This means that we are all born with a natural want

to do bad things and to disobey God. It is an important doctrine within the Roman Catholic Church from

Augustine. Some Christians believe that original sin explains why there is so much wrong in a world

created by a perfect God, and why people need to have their souls Saved from God by bringing them

into heaven. Some Christians believe that human beings can't cure themselves of original sin. The only

way they can be saved from its consequences is from Jesus Christ or God. Jesus frees us from Original

Sin. It is one reason why he died on the cross for us. He is our saviour. He SAVED us from Original Sin. He

cured us. The only way that we can receive God's affection is by accepting his love and his forgiveness,

and believing that Jesus Christ really did die on the cross for us in order to redeem our sins. Because of

salvation, we are free to go into heaven and not hell and reunite with the Lord and Jesus Christ and fulfil

our purpose of life and our goal.

Dante Allegeri is a famous Catholic Thinker. His book The Divine Comedy is about Hell,

Purgatory, and Heaven. He sees people being punished for their sins in hell. This is what would happen

without salvation. Hell is equivalent to evil. Hell is just what evil wants to be according to Dante Allegeri.

To leave hell, or evil we must accept the salvation that is offered to us from God. The lesson or moral

Dante is trying to get across is that hell or evil is a choice. We chose it, and we can chose to leave it the

same way we chose to enter into it. To leave it, we just have to accept the salvation from God, believe

that Jesus died for us and is our saviour and become baptized to wash away the Original Sin. We leave

hell and evil when we accept the moral standard which is an objective reality.

In conclusion, we need salvation in order to be free from original sin, to leave evil, and to avoid

hell and go to heaven to complete our goal of life. Many people dont know why salvation is necessary.

The reason is because it bridges the gap between original sin and moral law. Jesus died for us and he is

our saviour. Salvation is achieved through the sacraments and through following Christ and following his

commandments. We need salvation and it is very necessary in life if you ask any Catholic.
