AFFIDAVIT OFARREST
I, SPO4 REY ANTHONY B. APOR, legal age, single, Filipino and a bonafide member of Philippine
National Police (PNP) presently assigned at City of Manila Police Station, Manila City, Philippines and
detailed as mobile patrol leader, respectively, after having been sworn to an oath in accordance with
law do hereby voluntarily depose and say that;

1. The same and identical person that who caused the execution of this legal instrument;
2. On or about 1:30 p.m. of February 24, 2002 while rendering duty as leader of mobile patrol, I
informed by the duty desk officer, Police Officer 1 Jeorge Z. Alcobz that there was a crime
happened transpired at Juan Luna Street, Tondo Manila and informed me that the suspect
escape and while the victim was brought to St. Luke Hospital for medication.
3. Upon I receive of the said information, boarded with the Mobile Patrol, I proceeded to Juan
Luna Street, Tondo Manila with my buddy. We arrived at said place, and capture the suspect
who is identified as Cecilia Lagman Piring. The suspect pinpointed by witnesses, Violeta Sicor
Sapitula, Donna Maniego and the owner of BBQ store. Some other person as the very person
responsible of Stabbing and Physical Injuries the victims, Jondel Mari Davantes Santiago and
Donna Maniego. We recovered the weapon that used in a crime incident a kitchen knife.
4. I informed the suspect of the offense he committed, I also appraised him of the constitutional
rights in a dialect known to and understood by him, more particularly the rights to remain silent
and to be assisted by counsel of his own choice and if he cannot afford, he will be provided for
free by the government.
5. That I brought the suspect to City of Manila, Police Station for recording and put him in Police
Custody for the crime he committed against the victim. That in Manila City Police Station, the
victim was already there and also pinpointed the suspect as the very person who stabbed and
physical injuries;
6. I make this Affidavit of Arrest to attest the truth of the foregoing facts and to testify in court
regarding the incident.

AFFIDAVIT OF COMPLAINT

I Donna Maniego, legal age, single, Filipino and a resident of Lakadula Street, Tondo Manila,
Philippines, after having been sworn to an oath in accordance with law do hereby voluntarily depose
and say that;

1. Identical person who caused the execution of this legal instrument;

2. On or about 1:30 p.m. of February 24, 2002. I and Jondel Mari Davantes Santiago were having a
conversation while eating BBQ stick in Juan Luna Street. Afterwards around 2:30 p.m. I see
Cecilia Lagman Piring without knowing she punched me quickly at my face 2 times and she
stabbed Jondel Mari Dovantes Santiago at the right side of her body 2 times and at the back 3
times and I ran immediately in the nearest Police Station.
3. I informed by the duty desk Officer PO1 Jeorge Z. Alcobs, in a crime happened at Juan Luna
Street. Afterwards I was brought to St. Lukes Hospital for medication.
4. February 25, 2002. I was informed that Cecilia Lagman Piring, captured by the Police Officer who
unlawfully and feloniously with intent to kill, with treachery of my friend. I am one of the
witnesses to tell the whole story in a crime happened and a victim of incident.
5. I make this Affidavit of Complaint to attest the truth of the foregoing facts and to testify in court
regarding the incident.

II-MATTERS INVESTIGATED:

III-FACTOF THE CASE

7. That on or about 1:30 p.m of February 24, 2002 one Jondel Marie Davantes y Santiago 24
years old, single, and a resident of Lakadula Street, Tondo Manila what Stabbing to Death
and less Serious Physical Injury to be identified person;
8. That the incident was recorded in the police blotter of Manila City Police Station, copy of the
said report hereto attached and marked as ANNEX B respectively to from part of this
report;
IV-DISCUSSION;

9. That upon receipt of the above report, Mobile Patrol team led by PO3 Ricardo M. Alateit,
intelligence operatives team led by PS Anthony B. Apor with duty investigator SPO2 Toto
Ferrarin with the SOCO team led by SPO3 Voss Mike Villaherms were dispatched to validate
the reported to conduct investigation at the scene of the crime Murder and Less Serious
Physical Injury.
10. That base on the said report, it was gathered that while the victims they eat BBQ together
with her friend, Donna Maniego in Juan Luna Street, after a few minutes while having a
conversation of the owner of BBQ. Donna Maniego saw Cecilia Lagman Piring and quickly
punched her 2 times at her face and stabbing of Mari Davantes Santiago 5 times, 2 (two)
times at her right side of her body and 3(three) times at her back.
11. That the owner of BBQ and Donna Maniego trying to help of Jondel Santiago. Donna
Maniego go immediately to the nearest police station to report the crime incident, and she
identified the person who stabbed and punching them the responsible of the crime against
the victim.
12. That at the crime scene, 10cm long and 3cm width believed to be a kitchen knife were
recoverd from the crime scene incident.
13. That accordingly prior to the incident, residents of the area noticed several personalities
shown at the area, but such revelation came out after the incident;

V-CONCLUSION

14. That after a careful evaluation of the circumstance surrounding the incident, this
investigator honestly believed in good conscience that the cause of death Jondel Santiago
was due to the Unlawfully and feloniously with intent to kill, with treachery and Less Serious
Physical Injury while eating BBQ together with her friend along Lakadula Street, Tondo
Manila;

VI-REMARKS AND RECOMMENDATION:

15. That the act of the perpetrator manifested that the victim was the real target, taking
consideration that the suspect stabbing while was eating a BBQ.
16. That the act done the identified suspect is clearly premeditated, therefore they strongly
recommended and a case of MURDER be filed and LESS SERIOUS PHYSICAL INJURY be filed.
