Trench repair procedure:

I. Repairing procedure for the defects

1. Dry cracks Injection

Surface preparation for concrete cracks by using pressure injection methods. Any loose
concrete must be removed.
Mark the whole cracks on the entire surface & drill 200 mm depth holes with 200 mm
center to center along the cracks.
Install the metal packers by using epoxy adhesive Sikadur-31CF Slow. The crack between
the injection packers, sealed to prevent injection resin to escape during the injection process
by using the same epoxy adhesive.
Allow the epoxy adhesive to hard.
Apply pressure injection using "Solvent free low viscosity epoxy resin Sikadur-52.
Again, allow to cure the injection resin.
Remove the injection packers & patch by using epoxy adhesive Sikadur-31CF Slow.

2. Wet cracks Injection

Surface preparation for concrete cracks by using pressure injection methods. Any loose
concrete must be removed.
Mark the cracks which causing leakage of water on the surface. Drill 200 mm depth holes
with 200 mm center to center along with the cracks. Take 500 mm on either sides of the
wetted crack area into consideration.
Install the metal packers by using quick setting water proofing compound Sika 4a with
Cement. The crack between the injection packers, sealed to prevent injection resin to escape
during the injection process by using the same quick setting water proofing compound Sika
4a with cement.
Allow the water proofing compound to hard.
Apply flexible polyurethane injection foam for temporary water stopping resin Sika
Injection-101 RC.
Apply Elastic polyurethane injection Resin for Permanent Watertight Sealing Sika
Injection-201 CE.
Again, allow to cure the injection resin.
Remove the injection packers & patch by using Sika 4a with cement.

3. Corrosion protection for Reinforcement bars

Remove the concrete around the corroded portion.

Surface preparation for concrete substrates and exposed steel reinforcements.
Apply corrosion Protection coat for exposed reinforcing steel with Fosroc Nitoprime
Zincrich.
 Installing needed steel reinforcement bars will be chemically anchored using "a Solvent- and
styrene free epoxy acrylate based two-part polyester anchoring adhesive" Sika AnchorFix-
2.
Apply bonding agent and chlorides barrier coat with SikaTop Armatec 110.
Fill the removed portion of the concrete by using Multi-purpose patching and repair mortar
SikaRep N.

II. Over all Water proofing

After these above repairing, to prevent the structure from further degradation, it is compulsory to
water proofing on entire area. The following steps need to be followed.

Prior to the application of the water proofing, surface should be cleaned by using a medium
angle grinder. Using air blower, make surface free from dust. Then the surface of the
substrate must be pre-wetted to a saturated surface dry condition before application.

Apply 1 coat waterproofing and damp-proofing cementitious Slurry SikaTop Seal-107.
Any honey comb, and other blow holes on the surface, must be patched by the same
material.
Apply the mixed SikaTop Seal 107 either mechanically, by spray, or by hand using a stiff
brush. Applied in the same direction in the first coat & in the second coating, applied by
brush in crosswise direction to the first application as soon as first coat has hardened.

Sheets (PDS) & Safety measures, PPEs as per the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
