MidAmerica Productions will host the first Great American Choral Adjudication, Competition, and Gala Concert at Carnegie Hall on May 29, 2018. There will be two divisions: high school and adult/university, with grand prizes of $10,000 in each category. Rutters Beethovens Ode to Joy
Requiem from the Ninth Symphony All High School Ensembles All Adult/University Ensembles John Rutter, Conductor Peter Tiboris, Conductor with the N EW E N G L A N D SYM PH ON I C E NSE M B LE 20 choirs appearing in the competition and evening performance will receive: Special photography from their solo competition performance. One archival video recording of their solo competition performance. Special photography from the evening performance of Rutters REQUIEM and Beethovens ODE TO JOY. One archival video recording of the evening performance. A Certificate of Merit to all 20 ensembles for their appearance indicating that they were Finalists. Application details: A completed application and video audition must be submitted to MidAmerica Productions via private YouTube link on or before September 15, 2017. The audition committee will review the submissions and announce the 20 finalists by October 1, 2017. Finalists must confirm involvement by registering with MidAmerica Productions by November 1, 2017.
