2. Introduction and General issues

No Matters Action
1. Guidelines for the Chief Expert refer to World skills 2015 at Sao Paolo
competition Brazil method to direction this competition. The
method is new and different from Asean skill
previously. The differences are:
1. The participant only given layout drawing
except schematic diagram.
2. Participant only can see the sample
demonstration board 30 minute 2 day before
competition day.
3. The test project including programming,
mechanical work, electrical installation and
commissioning.
4. Participant only given the operation of the
project, their need to design the circuit
diagram and programming.
5. Participant need to identify and proficient with
the components functional and operation.
2. Overall time for the The participants has given to 3 day (18hours) to
competition completing their project. 14 hours for design and
installation, 3 hours for programming and 1 hour for
fault finding and total 18 hours.

3. Discussion/review of Technical Description

No Matters Action
1. The test project All the experts check the entire test project that
review made agreement from TCM1. Host country provides
more specific information about the size,
characteristics and standards of some supplies and
equipment related to the test project. The function
of KNX and Siemens logo was prepared by the
sponsor.
2. Workstation software KNX was prepared the software and computer. The
and materials version of programming software was informed to the
expert. The infrastructure list was given.

3. Module 1 Day 1 (20/9/16)
(Drawing) Discuss on changing item:
- Same level for SW1 to SW4
- Roof Design (Change position L3 & change
dimention of PVC Conduit for PIR and L2)
- Change position for flexible conduit (SW1 use
Flexible conduit & SW2 use PVC Conduit)
- Rotate 90o POS 5a and cable POS 5b use left side
Day 2 (21/9/16)
Final:
- Only change for the SW1 to SW4 make a same
level (others is same with TCM 1)
- No need prepare bend for metal conduit
- Rotate 90o POS 5a and cable POS 5b use left side
KNX Installation:
- Line 0: USB Interface, SW1, SW2, PIR
- Line 1: SW3, SW4, Line coupler and other KNX
devices
Installation :
L1+L3 = DALI
P1+P2 = Energy Switch Actuator
L2,L4 = Output Switch Actuator
L5,L6 = Dim 2T
Shutter = Shutter
4. Module 2 Day 1 (20/9/16)
(Motor control H1 indicates power supply for control circuit
functions and B2 & B4 = Up --> Process Up H2&H5 Blink 1s
programming) then reach L1, H2&H5 ON, 5 second delay
B3 & B5 = Down--> Process Up H4&H7 Blink 1s
then reach L2 H4&H7 ON, no need delay
O/L (MPS) --> H3 ON
B1 H6 ON
Note :
If Emergency stop push in the middle of process all
will be off, then Emergency stop normal door can
up or down (same situation with overload)

5. Module 2 Day 2 (21/9/16)

(KNX functions and KNX Malaysia handle KNX functions and show on
programming) competitors on Day 3 (programming). There are total
21 functions with total 10.5 marks.

6. Module 3 Day 2 (21/9/16)

(Installation testing) Nothing changes on drawing.
Each country propose 3-4 faults then experts will
choose 10 faults.

4. Discussion of Test Project

No Matters Action
1. Test project The Test project has 3 module. Module 1 is electrical
management installation, module 2 for motor control and module 3
for installation testing.

2. Additional test In module 1 the system controlled by KNX. Module 2

projects the motor controller unit is Siemens logo to control
pilot lamp, shutter door and forward and reverse
motor. For fault finding in module 3, the expert will
do the fault finding box to create the fault in the
system.

5.1. Competition time table

1. The competition time The participants has given 18 hours to completing

Day 1: given time is 6 hours for installation.
Day 2: given 5 hours installation and 1 hour fault
finding.
Day 3: 3 hours installation, 3 hours programming.

for each wiring bay on CIS forum.
