teacherassistantandtutor.IcurrentlyteachkindergartenatPolentaElementarySchool
andhavedonesosincethebeginningofthe2014-2015schoolyear.

Evenasachild,IknewIhadapassionforteaching.ThroughoutmyyearsofteachingI
havedevelopedevenmoreofadeterminationtobeabletoteachchildrentheknowledge
andskillstheyneedtobecomesuccessfulcitizensinoursociety.Ibelievethatstudents
needtofeelasenseofbelongingintheclassroom.Eachandeverystudentneedstofeel
loved,caredfor,andneedstoknowthattheirteacherwilllistentothemandisthereto
helpthembethebestpersontheycanbe.Thestudentsneedtobeprovidedastructure
bytheteacherwheretherules,consequences,andproceduresareimplementedeveryday
inclass.Itisimperativethatstudentsunderstandtherelationshipbetweentheiractions,
rewards,andconsequences;studentsneedtobetaughtthattheyareaccountablefor
theiractions.Thistypeofmanagementwillcreateaclassroomthatactsasacommunity
orfamily.Ibelieveaclassroomthatrunssmoothlyinacomfortablemanneristhemost
cohesiveandbeneficiallearningenvironment.

Itismygoaltocreatealearningenvironmentwherestudentslearntotheirbestpotential.
