Group Activities

Each group is expected to perform two activities (A) Case Analysis and Presentation and
(B) Innovation Using Information Technology
A. Case Analysis and Presentation

Analyse the case assigned to each group and give a presentation to the class for about 30
minutes, during the session indicated. The presentation must include a brief introduction to the
case facts and background, a discussion on the key questions/issues addressed in the case, the
groups views on key decision challenges, key learnings, and linkage with the relevant
theory/concept etc. The Case PPT should be uploaded into Moodle one day before the
presentation. All are expected to read the case and come to the class for discussion. A
surprise quiz may be conducted at the end of the session.

B. Term Project: Innovation Using Information Technology

Every group is expected to come up with an innovation using Information Technology.

The following timeline is expected to be followed:


The data required may be collected through primary and/or secondary sources. The topic should
be finalized latest by 20 Jan 2017. You are expected to submit the topic along with a brief
justification (one paragraph), to the faculty by 15 Jan 2017. After the topic is approved, a
feasibility study/ interim report of 2-3 pages should be submitted by 31Jan 2017 and a Final
report (See Submission Guidelines below) should be submitted by 01 Mar 2017. The
presentations are scheduled during the last two sessions where each group will get not more than
10 minutes for presentation (presentations will be timed) followed by 5 minutes of Q & A.

Report Format

1. Interim report should be examining how you are going to develop it as a business
proposal with a brief coverage on the significance of the innovation and the market
potential. It should not be more than 3 pages long and should include the
a. Title
b. Section
c. Group Identification (with Roll Numbers)
d. Topic for Innovation
e. Preliminary analysis of data
f. Source of data/information

2. Final report should be a complete business proposal on the proposed innovation,


examining various aspects in detail (10-12 pages long, times new roman, font size 12).
You may follow the format of any typical business proposal.

3. The report will be evaluated based on:


a. Significance of the innovation
b. Style of writing and proper use of grammar, Complete information on Title of the
project, group names, roll number
c. Plagiarism
d. Timeliness of submission

Plagiarism or academic misconduct in any form would be considered seriously and as


disciplinary actions F grade in course would be provided
