1. As per the scope defined in ASME B31.4 Fig 400.1.

1-1 we can use the

pipeline code inside the Tank Terminal. If we use ASME B31.4 for Tank
Terminal with Pumping station, can it be a manned area or it should be an
unmanned area ?

2. Can we use ASME 31.4 on onsite Tank and pumping station where there
are other auxiliary facilities like Power Station, Control Building, Substation,
booster pumps, Main oil transfer pumps near by but within the main facility
boundary ?.

3. I am using a flat plate to cap the end of pressure vessel shell. The flat plate
will be inserted into the inside diameter of the shell and a one sided weld
will be used to joint the flat plate to the shell. I am looking at Figure UG-34
and cannot find this particular detail in the list of sketches. Sketch g is
difficult to understand just what type of joint is being depicted. Does
sketch g cover my application? Can a partial penetration weld be used
to joint the flat head to the shell? Does Figure UW-13.2 sketch q specifically
prohibit a partial penetration single sided weld for this application?
