PROJECT PROPOSAL

I. PROJECT TITLE: Laro ng Lahi sa Unibersidad nin Bicol

PROPONENT: Bicol University UNESCO Club

II. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Laro ng lahi sa Unibersidad nin Bicol is an event of the Bicol

University United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization
Club which will be held this college intramurals and Bicol University week.
This is to promote and remember the cultural games of the Philippines. The
club intends to put the event on the college intramurals and BU Week in
order for the students to enjoy and participate more in this event without the
worries of having to miss their classes. As they celebrate the intramurals,
they can enjoy and compete for Tug-of-war, Patintero, Kadang-kadang, sack
race and kite flying. These will be open to all the students because these will
be included in the point system of the intramurals.
The students will not just experience the joy, but the culture of the
Philippines will still remain and be remembered.

III. OBJECTIVES

The general objective of this event is to promote and remember the

cultural games of our country.
The specific objectives of this event are:
To promote camaraderie between departments, colleges and
most of all the students.
To promote the culture of Filipinos in games
To remember and play the Laro ng Lahi thru sportsmanship.
To patronize our native games

IV. TARGET DATE AND VENUE

This event will be held in the campus of each college during their
intramurals and in the commencement grounds during the Bicol University
Week.

V. ACTIVITIES

The activities of this event will be simultaneous in nature. The

activities of this event are:
Tug-of-war
Patintero
Kadang-kadang
Sack race
Kite flying

VI. EXPECTED PARTICIPANTS

The expected participants will be the bonafide students of Bicol

University. In college intramurals, those who are bonafide students of the
college; and in Bicol University Week, those who won in the college
intramurals.

Expected participants in each event:

Tug-of-war: Eight (8) to ten (10) participants on each department/ college;
Patintero five (5) participants or member on each team or depertment or
college;
Kadang-kadang compose of ten (10) students in each department or
college;
Sack race compose of five (5) members on each team; and
Kite flying the team will compose of two (2) or three (3) participants in
each team.

VII. FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS

Ten (10) meters long of 1 inch rope 300

1 box of chalk 50
1 kg of white powder 50
Fourthy coconut shells 300
One straw rope 100
Twenty (20) pieces of sacks 200
Scoring and registration sheets 200
Total: 1200

VIII. SOURCE OF FUNDING: Internal Fund

IX. EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

Equipment required in each games:

Tug-of-war a ten (10) meter long 1 inch rope;
Patintero 1 box of chalk or 1 kg of white powder;
Kadang-kadang Fourthy half coconut shells and a one (1) ___
of straw rope;
Sack race twenty(20) pieces of sacks; and
Kite flying

Other equipments required will be the scoring sheets and registration sheets.

X. EXPECTED OUTPUTS

This event is expecting for its successful implementation with the

objectives enumerated. It is also expected to promote the culture of games
of the Philippines and preserve it through the youth of today. This is also
expected to be done on the next year on this current academic year.
