Egina Project

Project Overview

The development of the Egina fieldlocated 150 km off the coast of

Nigeria in block OML 130 in a water depth of 1,750 mwill consist of
44 subsea wells tied to a new FPSO. The Egina subsea production
system will be operated from the spread-moored FPSO. The SURF
(Subsea, Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines) package includes the
turnkey supply of 32 km of insulated production flowlines, 23 km of
water injection flowlines and a 75-km gas export line tying into
Totals existing Akpo-to-Amenam link. It also covers the turnkey
supply of risers, which will be hooked up to the FPSO, plus two
offloading lines. Work will also include transportation, installation
and hook-up of Eginas umbilicals and offloading buoy, plus
installation of the FPSO, six manifolds and other subsea structures in
water depths of 1,400-1,600 meters. The subsea production system
contract is expected to cover about 44 trees plus associated hardware.

Egina Pole consists of Egina-1, Egina-2, and Egina-South. The field has
reserves of 550 million barrels of light crude and is located to the
southwest of Akpo and expected to reach a plateau production of
200,000b/d of oil. The project start-up is expected to be at the end of 2017.
End user: Total

Engineering Company: Saipem

Products and services from Tenaris: Egina project includes 66 kms of

anti-corrosion coating on 6, 12 and 14 OD, which already started
last October 14. More importantly it includes the coating of 42 kms of
14 production flowline and 18 production riser with 5LPP syntactic
polypropylene, all of this from our Tenaris coating plant in Onne,
Nigeria. The 5LPP production is planned to start in early February 2015.

Importance to Tenaris: This project is important for several reasons:

(a) it is the largest subsea deep-offshore development by Total in
Nigeria; (b) it provides high recognition of local content contribution
and the added value generated by Tenaris in the Nigerian Oil and Gas
industry; (c) it recognizes Tenariss ability to deploy and develop the
5LPP syntactic coating. This coating is a highly technical product
applied on the outside diameter of the oil production flowlines, and
provides a thermal insulation shield to keep the oil warm as it flows
out from the well-head to the Egina FPSO vessel (Floating, Production,
Storage and Offloading vessel).
